I think what HALO did was it showed a co op world for console gaming on an entire new level and it so happened to have solid graphics and a strong story
and of course HALO 2 is the reason console online gaming became a success
They might get lazier on compression or pack more textures on the disc but other than that, all real extra content will come as DLC

I think all these were pretty fair other than the Kinect one.
I think no internal wifi and DVD9 were bigger mistakes than kinect with no controller.
Look at the sales, Kinect has no issues.
