But if the console did have a 24 hour check in, what would happen when Microsoft stops supporting the console a year or two before the release of their next console? A 24 hour check in means a limited life for a console just like a limited life for a game.
While I agree there are a large number of JRPG's, I would name 2013 year of the indie game. Papers, Please, The Stanley Parable, the newly released Rust (or at least newly arised. I don't feel like looking up when it actually came out). Plus with Minecraft on PS3, and PS4 pledging allegiance to the indie, I'd definitely say 2013 was almost owned by indie games (besides the fact that The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto 5 are unanimously the two best games this year.)
Honestly, the game line-up isn't solid enough on either side to choose just yet. I got my PS4 day one cause I had higher hopes for Killzone's single player, and I expected Watch Dogs Day 1, but PS4 is looking to have the better line-up of games later down the line again.
Damn, that's pretty early on. But you didn't miss much. There's a really good scene between Bane, Joker, and Batman at the end, but that's about it.
A lot of people would disagree with the campaign being the best of the three. I personally think it's the worst. It wasn't bad by any means, just not on the same level as the first two were.
Yup, it's coming to Vita
Beyond Two Souls wasn't by any means a bad game. It just wasn't as good as Heavy Rain. If you're talking about Survival Instinct, then I have no problem with Walking Dead up there, but the TellTale game is fantastic. Knack was also just okay, but it could have been a lot better.
I can see Resistance 1 and 2, but Resistance 3 ;_; ??
Oculus Rift Dev Kit is $400, and they are aiming to bring it down to $100-$200, so I can't see why PlayStation can't get around that price range.
Already bought it on PS3, even though I promised myself I'd hold out for a PS4 version. ;_;
I hope at the very least it's cross buy between Vita and PS4, cause I'd love to take my maps on the go.
Sadly, South Park, Dark Souls II, and possibly Game Of Thrones aren't making it to PS4. Only two PS4 exclusives on the list, so I didn't feel it was a top 10 PS4 list.
That video is hilarious
Not a racing fan myself, but if I were I'd probably throw GT6 on there.
@everybody
God forbid a PlayStation fan says something nice about Xbox.
@Bigpappy
Alot of Xbox gamers are also Call of Duty gamers, so it's natural they would chose Xbox One as their console. Also, as Omegasyde said, there are more FPS's on PS4 currently, especially with Killzone being the biggest launch exclusive between the two consoles.
@sono421
As I said, I don't have kids, so it's impossible to tell what they would want. Being the gamer I am, I plan on raising my kids to be gamers too, so I imagine they would want to play games from Killzone to Dead Rising,
@cgoodno it can't be a family machine, snapping to TV and having that side bar thing for sports and shit, and play violent games? That mindset is exactly what killed the Wii/Wii U
If I was a parent I woulda bought an Xbox One for my kid. It seems like a great family console to pop in the living room and just use as an entertainment box, and play some awesome looking exclusives like Ryse, Dead Rising, and Titan Fall when it comes out.
EDIT: @disagrees and below:
PlayStation 4 is the superior gaming machine, and I have one in my game room. But Xbox One is the superior family entertainment machine. If Xbox disgusts you to the point that you would...
Just read the title. "Sony's consoles". 54+36 > 75. People that play on PS3 more than likely would be playing on PS4 if they had the funds and could find one in stock.
I'd disagree. I just like the realistic, heavy feel of Killzone
@vishmarx
Do you mean superior, not inferior?
