If you read the documents or listen to the audio logs at the end *SPOILERS* you find out Ellie isn't the only of her kind. There were other kids who were immune, and all their testing has proven to be unsuccessful so far. And let's say Ellie was sacrificed, does that mean The Last Of Us 2 would be impossible to make? Just grab a different small group of characters. Simple.

Multiplayer was great actually, I played a lot of it. The single player was just a generic FPS. I was expecting a blockbuster story with a cliff hanger making me beg for the next Killzone. It was just horrible.

Last Of Us and GTA far outweigh any complaint I can conceive about 2013. Honestly, the only game I was really disappointed in is Killzone (and Watchdogs if you count it being delayed as a 2013 disappointment)
Zombie U actually seems really fun, despite poor reviews. My Wii U hasn't come in yet, so I'm waiting on it, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Especially with that multiplayer.
A good AAA game will always beat a good indie game, but in a dry year (like 2012) great indie games can be GOTY worthy, like Journey and The Walking Dead.

Bought myself a Wii U on ebay for $200 and it came with Zombie U, Nintendo Land, and a pro controller. Nintendo has always been the second console in my household (I already have a PS4, had a PS3 and Wii last gen, a PS2 and Gamecube ect...) and it's just fantastic for party games. Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Smash Bros are just unmatched by any game on Xbox or PlayStation. I'll probably be gaming more on my PS4, but I'm not missing out on great first party Nintendo games, even if...

Can't you do CPU vs CPU in offline franchise mode? I'm pretty sure you can do that in PS4/Xbox One versions of 25. I haven't played the PS3/360 versions of 25 so I don't know about them.

Nintendo has plenty of money. They're probably still sitting on money from Wii and Nintendo DS. If they take the sacrifice of Wii U being sold at even more of a lose, the sales will increase, meaning more people will own a Wii U, which means more developers will work for titles on Wii U, which means more software sales on Wii U, which means more sales for Wii U.
