That's because you got used to the huge dead zones on the 360 controller.
A real gamer wants a more controllable and reactionary experience. No one wants to have to fight beyond a huge dead zone to get the character to react.
I've worked for a publisher for 4 years; followed by my current spot as a developer for the last 3 years. I can 100% guarantee that the used game market has absolutely no relationship with the amount of money a developer gets paid.
Here is the blunt truth:
Publisher: 60%
Everyone else: 40% (up front)
If the game does better than expected; the Publisher (investors) see that money. The developer does not even see half of the original budget....
Xbox has finished in last every generation; with someone like you claiming: "They will win THIS time!" every single time.
Even a year head start didn't work.
After all the spinning for how you guys liked DRM and all those stupid policies; using it to claim the PS4 was inferior... here is another spin (360 was a fitting name) now with you guys claiming the PS4 policies were indeed better (now that Xbox One changed to match the PS4).
@NYC_Gamer
"It's not bad it shows that when consumers speak loud huge companies will listen"
Wrong! It shows that they will ignore their customers; until it impacts their wallet directly. PS4 is slaughtering them in the pre-order department; that was the real driving force behind this change. Don't kid yourself.
If you all cried (well, not xbox fanboys; you guys side with microsoft blindly) about the policies; but they were act...
Plain and simple:
PS4 slaughtered them in pre-orders (it looks to have been at least a 4-to-1 ratio; some locations were confirmed to be 8-to-1).
Microsoft pulled a 180. Now they claim they cared about listening to the fans... eat on that; sheep. Sure, the pre-order slaughter had nothing to do with it.
You attack Microsoft where it hurts; their wallet.
"The Xbox 180"
Required Kinect plugged in for the system not to be a brick. That is still the prime reason I didn't like the console.
Microsoft has proven with the NSA scandal; that they definitely cannot be trusted with this information.
If the PS4 was "Xbox 360 #2" I guess that means the Xbone is now "Xbox 360 #1.5"
The same thing up here in Canada; Eb Games is going full out blue. There are ads everywhere; as if you are in a Sony store.
It makes sense with how they had 8-to-1 shipments of PS4 versus Xbox One for sale. There is a lot of PS4 product to sell.
I can't wait for Microsoft to fudge their numbers; as usual.
The shortages for their system definitely add further verification to the hardware issues they are hitting (low yields for eSRAM droppi...
I'm all for pointing our the many anti-consumer tactics by Microsoft (take your pick); but there isn't much of a story here. The local store messed up; Microsoft would not be behind this at all. The 360 has gone stagnant; so they could have just wanted to use the screen; but have a deal in place to run the Kinect ads for a certain amount of time. If anything, Microsoft should be pissed off (not showing their product) and Sony (showing a product their competitor can't compete with;...
1 - God
2 - King
3 - Prince
4 - Rebirth
Sony was not lying when they said their consoles run strong for 10 years. Case in point...
Dust in the wind.... er.. cloud!
Great comment; which is rare on this site!
13 years ago I broke up with a girl I had been with for 7 years; it was one of the toughest times of my life. I've since gotten over it and I wouldn't trade my current girl for anyone.
Hopefully I can say that about PS4 when the dust settles; as it was hard to get over PS2. :P
Dead Rising devs have already confirmed it was not running on Xbox One hardware; but similar hardware to close specs of Xbox One.
Hopefully they don't consider GTX to be "close specs"; because that would be very very dumb.
Kinect was shown sitting at ever station set up to play a game. Not because it was a kinect game; but because it must always be connected to the system.
it looked so dumb.
The update worked fine for me as well; some idiots just have to learn to stop restarting during updates.. it's never a good thing.
They will claim they didn't; but let's be real here... people on the internet can't really be trusted.
Sony had the two best selling consoles in history. Their 3rd console went on to beat their main competitor in more than half a year of a release date difference.
It doesn't sound familiar at all.
Microsoft has a small way to fall; as they have been last in every generation they have been in. This is a situation that appears to repeat with all their hardware attempts: Zune, Windows Phone.
The writing is already on the wall this next genera...
The Xbox One is confirmed to be hitting eSRAm yield problems; which has drastically cut their supply chain.
The system is also over-heating; with very little time to repair the issue; as they must release alongside the PS4. They are already at a much inferior price point; with worse specs. Releasing after PS4 would crush them.
Due to the rush to the gate; they might downclock the GPU to lower heat. Which would put their already inferior GPU at a much worse st...
This article flew over a lot of heads. It was intended to be sarcastic; only a microboy would agree with the points. That's the point.........
You would be missing a touch pad.....
