This sounds awesome.
Already preordered, can't wait.
Hard things take a lot of time and effort. Yeah, hard to believe. And this guy worked there 10 years ago. Current employees (as in people working there right now) have started speaking out on twitter and painting a much different story. This whole thing was, as usual, sensationalized by the media.
His current death count is 25. This is gonna increase it by a couple hundred thousand.
Let me guess, Tom Chick.
Still waiting on Dream Mommy.
Why not? It's their choice. And to be clear, it was the 4 head writers doing these hours, for 3 weeks, to get the writing done. This whole thing has been blown up by the media to push the "big evil company oppresses employees" narrative.
This money spike coincided with Citizencon, their yearly superfan event. It's mostly the sunk cost whales giving them money at this point. And as usual we have to take their word for it, there's no way to verify the actual amount.
Houser has clarified that it was his writing team of 4 people doing these hours, not the whole team.
It looks like they reused a lot of Fallout 4 to make 76, to save on time and resources. Obsidian did the same thing with Fallout 3 to make New Vegas. I don't think we'll see any big overhauls in tech until the next Oblivion or Fallout.
From the E3 gameplay, it looks like there's traveling between alternate realities, so there's potential for lots of interesting environments: https://youtu.be/ZLGltC28sf...
Squadron 42, the game that was supposed to be out in 2015: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
This being a "Kojima" game doesn't do anything for me, never did. Not buying into this one until I see some actual solid gameplay.
2011 to 2018, so approaching 8 years. The difference between the games you listed and Star Citizen, is that those games actually RELEASED after all those years in development. Almost 8 years in, and all Star Citizen has to show for it is one barely finished star system (of the promised 100), no core gameplay loops, and broken unoptimized performance even on a monster PC. Oh, and no release date. And they're still asking for more money, as if $200 million wasn't enough. They can't ...
This isn't new. Youtube personalities were using Minecraft to prey on underage fans: https://motherboard.vice.co...
About a week ago, the entire site was claiming that they didn't care about crossplay: http://n4g.com/news/2203025... And now they do?
Nice of them to say. Don't expect to hear Naughty Dog say the same about Tomb Raider, despite having taken a lot of ideas from Tomb Raider.
One day this franchise will rise from the ashes and take back the survival horror throne... one day.
It's 3 games in now, there's some fatigue. The game itself is good.
Multiple devs are speaking up now: https://twitter.com/MiriamB...
