I agree with you completely! The flying was great in that game and like you said that was the only good thing about it.
My point is that had Microsoft gave insomniac more freedom and allowed them to make sunset 2 the marvel game probably wouldn’t have happened.
I’m primarily an Xbox gamer. I’m not a fanboy in that I have no problem admitting that Microsoft has buried themselves with their lack of exclusives. I like the turnaround theyve made with back compat, game pass, new studios, onex, etc but they MUST respond to Spider-Man in some way. They need a superhero game. I personally enjoyed far cry 5 a lot. The story didn’t pay off well, but the world was awesome. I’m not looking forward to odyssey at all. I feel like origins was such a wonderful reboot, and to know that odyssey takes place 400 years before it doesn’t make any sense. I wish instead of basically slapping a “Greece” coat of paint on the world of origins they would have taken the great origins story and moved the next game to fuedal japan.
I disagree that uncharted 4 is a masterpiece. It’s a fun popcorn game with great graphics and annoying climbing sequences and status quo set pieces. The story is okay. I just don’t think uncharted as a series is all that great. Not even in the same league with god of war or the yakuza series or the last of us.
I’m not saying that shadow of the tomb raider is better than uncharted 4, but I hate the notion that AAA multiplatforms cant be better than exclusives. I feel like fanboys of whatever system just turn their noses up multiplatform games like they can’t be an good as an exclusive.
Concerning Spider-Man, I wish people could understand that maybe the puddle was “downgraded”, but the shadows and the suit actually looked better after the supposed downgrade. This is fake news.
I would say in no order the Witcher 3, the last of us, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3, ori, cuphead, god of war, overwatch, and Skyrim
To each his own, but shadow of Mordor feels like a stretch.

Flash, Thor (in the same cane as god of war but with flight), green arrow, moon knight, night crawler, dare devil, and Superman could all be great if done right.
Super Mario world, silent hill 2, the last of us, assassins creed origins, Forza Horizon 3, horizon zero dawn, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Witcher 3.
I don’t play multiplayer games so I don’t have to worry about that. I’m with people 90 percent of my life. Games are an escape from that for me.
I loved the ability to use songs burned to my Xbox for end zone celebrations and first downs. Also, the player interviews were so innovative. Also, the defensive controls and adjustments were so user friendly and intuitive. It’s definitely my favorite football game ever.

I thought origins was fantastic. I have over 100 hours in that game.
