Exactly, the only way it makes sense to me to buy NX is for my kids to use and for me to play with them.
Nintendo has been milking their first party game too long to still appeal to me.
I see their value for newcomers that have never played Mario, Zelda, etc but otherwise interest in those old IP is lukewarm at best. Nostalgia only appeals so much to my wallet or in other words, very little.
I don't understand why people put Nintendo in the same bag as PS and Xbox.
They don't share audience, the same type of games, the same type of preference from the players. Granted some people will get both but even those buyers, buy Nintendo for different reasons.

I'm betting Sony won't announce a price or date before knowing what the other parties will do. That means announcing later ( same as when in E3 Xbox One price and games original announcement, then came PS4 with the reduced price and easy game sharing ).
I've had a PS4 since day one release... It's 4 not 1.
I had one but the PS3 (60gb ps2 compatible version sku release version 1) was not a first version of a Sony console, some things were new to it, others aspects were tried and proven.
The PS.VR is the first version, first time to market accessory not only to Sony but for everyone jumping into the VR game.
