I hope this is a sign of things to come for forza and halo 5. MCC aside, MS usually have a good track record with their launch games.
Its always these random no name sites though....lol. doing their bit for metacritic.
If you loved the original, you will eat this up, trust me. Its gears but prettier and slicker, especially in MP mode at 60FPS. If the way the controls feel in GeOW3 are still fresh in your memory the controls in this one will feel a tad clunky at first but after a while you settle back into the eb and flow and feels like old times. only smoother, more responsive and prettier.
I couldnt be happier. My only gripe? I am missing horde mode!But aside from that this is a great ref...

Agreed. QB is a graphically more ambitious title than PES, So I dont buy it either. a little more time and perhaps better tools/more talented team would have seen that game at 1080P on XB1.

True. It lost out to the M3 in terms chassis performance/handling more than anything thing. It was more about the M3 being such a fantastic car than anything against the VXR. It held its own in that market segment. But the M3 always sets the bar high. The new one is killing the competition in reviews right now. Hopefully I will be able to pick one up for under 30K in about 4-5 years. Until then my 125M keeps me happy! :)
When crackdown comes out and more MS 1st party games are using it to THAT level of ambition and technical jiggery pokery....yes.
For now we should look at what is currently on the table and what is coming for the rest of the year. There is plenty of reason to buy an xbox before even bringing up the 2016 lineup or whatever else MS have up their sleeves. CD is deffo a start of something big and revolutionary on xbox. You are right! Back in the day we had to make do with two buttons and you had to earn extra continues..these rookies these days dont know how good they have it.Too much soy milk in their diets, I reckon.
That said, I too will be buying this and lamenting how the hell I beat these games when I was a kid.
For a luanch game it still holds up. Yeah its light on cars compared to other forzas. But it still packed over 200 cars. Where it really starts to show its lack of content and features are in options and track selection. Things that were missing from FM4. But it still retained that feel some handling. Tyres seemed a touch less grippy though and in combination with the new controller its a bit of a balancing act act first getting the most out of your cars.

Damn shame. When they rebadged the holden as a VXR in europe it did wonders for vauxhaul/opel's's image. I remember being talked about fondly in car reviews. Never was quite able to get the best of an M3 but its a true old school bruiser of a muscle car with its own charms. It will be missed.
Bought it over the weekend. Not sure when Im gonna play it with all , the games I have on my HDD. But I know I have a gooden on my hands with this one.

5 of the top ten games are xbox one. two are xbox 360. Good week for MS. Minecraft seems to have a permanent place in the charts too. just bouncing up and down. but never really leaving.
