I remember losing a wheel once in FM3...and I often kill my gearboxes on accident.For some reason the ferrari 360CS seems particularly prone to to dying on me. Aggressive downshifting without applying enough engine braking can be the problem, but sometimes I react to fast going into corners, braking and downshifting as late as possible. Been a few times where I have damaged the car to the point where its barely driveable. Hate when that happens on line. No restarts! lol
They have shown off some pretty sweet designs at PAX and gamescom. Those ford GT inspired controllers were pretty sexy.

VR is gonna, go the way of kinect/move, as far as console gaming goes. I just dont see people shelling out for it. It will cost almost as much as a the console, if not more, by the time its ready to launch.And Without a killer app to speak of, and other health and phycological issues, I am not sure what the future holds for VR. I can picture it now though...people plugged in for hours watch...

Are you watching the same video as the rest of us? Matte traps light differently to normal paints. also if you take your..erm...glasses off, you will notice how the light affects the surface of the cars based on intensity of light source ie. How it looks in exposed sunlight vs driving in broad daylight through built up areas blocking sunlight. They did a good job of recreating how matte paint traps light while maintaining shadows where they should be, on the car. I am not sure how you are not...

It is expensive when you consider there is no game bundled with it. But THAT controller, makes it pricier. I suppose it wouldn't have hurt their profits too much to throw in digital copies of gears and minecraft.Or KI season 1. Even a launch game like ryse or DR3, or FM5. XBL servers will handle it just fine. It takes a lot more than this beta to give that one problems. even if this was four games on one disc each with their own playlists and hoppers it still couldnt halt XBL.
Usually ALL EA games have have early access, on access, but with a deal in place for this we will see in a few weeks. The only reason I could think of why they wouldnt (If I were looking at this from a PS gamer's perspective)is because of the marketing deal with sony, in relation to their competition with MS. But objectively speaking a marketing deal and early access are not always joined at the hip. EA is still the publisher and it benefits their access customers to give them early acces...

8 days for me. I preordered the digital ultimate edition that comes with everything..and I do mean EVERYTHING! Including the ability to start playing from the 10th. Destroyed all my friends lap times and deleted the demo. I dont see them matching my times. even on FM5 I usually sit in the top 10% of fastest lap times on any track.
I just have those racers instincts I guess.
