You just have to look at all the recent software sales for the ps3 and you have to wonder if Ratchet is the game that will be real true hit. Lair, Heavenly Sword, Folklore, NBA 08 have all been huge failures. Eye of Judgement has only sold about 13k. And so far Ratchet has started off really slow. Well I know that some movies are better on HD like 300 since it looks exactly the same but has more extras. I'm sure same goes for bluray but it's not like bluray is ALOT better. IT IS equal in picture quality. But when you talk about TRUE HI DEF, well that's a part of Sony's campaign. 720p is true HD. Especially since about 2% of tv owners own a 1080p tv.

What people don't understand is that Toshiba is selling out their OLDER HD-A2 model for their newer A3 model. This is a common practice in electronics.

I personally don't mind how much these players cost. It's the actual movies that are to expensive. Blu ray and hd dvd discs cost around $25 each. I like to walk into Best Buy once a week and buy 2 or 3 movies. Total cost would be around $45. With the hi def discs...total cost would be near $100. That's to much for me.

This is the HD-A2 model. In other words it's the older model. They're probably trying to get rid of them to make room for the newer A3. But a hi defination player for under $100 and in the mother of all stores??? Looks like the hi def war is starting to favor the hd dvd side.

So a game that was developed on the "powerful" ps3 first comes out on the 360 and beats it in graphics, AI, and gameplay. Another victory for the 360 and another loss for the ps3.
The ps3 was the lead platform for PES 2008 so what's the excuse now??? The ps3 version is pretty much unplayable with all the framerate issues while the 360 version is as smooth as butter.
