There is a big difference between the ps2's slimline and this one. The ps2 slimline came out 5-7 years after the original ps2. This one comes out just an year after the original ps3. Sounds more like a desperate move for Sony as they try to lower the cost ASAP.
"Pity the poor Japanese, where MotorStorm was released as a rush-job, missing one of the most crucial features expected in a racer.
How dare they release a racer without any form of multiplayer whatsoever. Imagine - a PS3 racing title with a clear emphasis on down-and-dirty, car-versus-bike-versus-truck mayhem, and no opportunity to play against a real opponent - split-screen or otherwise. That, friends, is an almost unforgivable blunder"

I love me the zombie games!!! I bought the gamecube just for Resident Evil. Anyway for all your kids that out there...Return of the Living Dead! Best zombie move ever.
Yeah you have to careful here, you say anything bad about Sony and they immediately go for the bubbles. You cant blame them, I guess I would be mad too if I spent $600 on an inferior system.
...that's where we have the problem. These sony boys aren't the smartest bunch around. They just ignore the TONS of facts about the ps3 being inferior to the 360. Multiplatform games are continuously better on the 360. Microsoft came out an year earlier and outperforms the ps3 in almost every way. They're not going to give credit where credit is due. They just do what they do best...complain and whine. Some attack you verbally, while others just throw around useless numbers trying to m...
This type of game is always alot of fun. I'm glad I get the better version.
Well of course rumble is not needed for the fun factor. But it just adds a lil more to the game than what the 6axis can do. Just makes me feel a lil more tense when I play certain horror games...feels a lil more crazy when your shooting like a madman on a turret gun...feels a lil more exciting when you feel the crash from a racer. It just adds a lil more to the realism.
I'm sure most people would agree that they would prefer rumble over 6axis anyday.
So I guess I'm not allowed to express my opinion. I guess I cant say how I feel about this game without being attacked by some rabid sony fanboy. I'm not trashing this game. I'm a true gamer! And I always said this game is going to be fun, but if you can really say that your okay with only 8 tracks than your the one that's delusional.
It's fanboys like you that cant accept somebody elses' opinion, so like the babies that most of you are, you just give them negative feedback....
20-30 hours of main quest & 20 hours of side quests??? Sounds like a perfect combo for me. If you ever played other Bioware games before, you would know that the side quests are on par or even better than some others games main quests. 50 hours of gameplay is just right on. I would hate if this game was like 200 hours. After playing a game so long, you get bored.
50 hours of gameplay? Gorgeous graphics? Huge worlds to explore? All without Blue Ray??? Score 1 for Microso...
More weapons! More maps! Damn I love my 360!
Cmon guys, stop trying to defend this game. 8 tracks is a joke. I thought this game was using Blue Ray! I thought Blue Ray is supposed to bring us "more" I seen 4 tracks already and they all look about the same and their really isn't anything special about them.
I don't know why people say this game uses advanced physics. If you watch the videos, their are NO physics. Trucks don't bounce around rocks like that. Trucks don't fly 30 feet in the air after getting h...
The 6axix controller is a complete failure. No game fully utilizes it. Just a shake here and a shake there. Wow so the controller acts like my penis when i'm done pissing. People that say rumble is not needed is fooling themselves. Motorstorm screams rumble. What about Resident Evil when danger is near, you feel your heartbeat. Killzone 2 with no rumble??? Ouch! Stop pretending you don't agree. Rumble adds to the realism.
If this game has only 8 tracks than it's definitely in danger of getting boring really quick. I really want to like this game, since I was a huge fan of Super Off Road back in the days. But 8 tracks is not going to cut it.
So if this is the final version than it's pretty safe to say that it's not even close to the e3 demo. Dont get me wrong, it looks good. But not like that crazy e3 demo.
The physics dont look to be very accurate also. More on the arcade sid...
Yeah looks like Japan is starting to think differently. For example, Virtual Fighter used to be a big seller for Sony, and now the ps3 version is a big flop. Looks like the Wii will take Japan.
The only thing that stopped Flatout 2 from greatness was the actual driving. It just didn't feel right. But the crashes and physics were one of the best around. And the mini games were crazy fun. Looks like the 360 is starting to look like the place for racers!
Thank you for sparing us some of your time from your "happy" life! :)
So Japan gets an 8 version while the US gets a 9 version? Maybe that's why it was delayed after it was already released in Japan. It needed more than just a few tweaks. And this sits right with you? You would be okay if Japan had a better version of Motorstorm?
Okay I'll make sure that I'm more "understandle" for you guys! :D

Yeah no problem. I done my research on this and their is no question the 960 is the best tv out there. Only problem is they dont make the 960 anymore, only the 970. And the 970 doesn't use the super fine pitch tube that the 960 was so popular for. The 970 is a good tv but the 960 was better.

I'm being serious Dj, would you like knowing somebody else is playing a better version of this game??? Your probably going to spin this into a positive but I know I would be PISSED if I got the weaker version. Japan got the shaft.
Yes I said AVERAGE! If you look at the reviews at gamerankings.com. Most sites gave it an 8.
...I'll wait for more of a respectable site like IGN or Gamespot for a verdict. I don't want to bash or praise on just any review.
