I ditched xbox awhile back and this was one of the reason.
Zero exclusives, first party in shambles.
I dont need to turn on a console I own and have to stare at football ads or even worse mt dew and the final straw was a big mac on my home screen for a week.
Xbox is a shell of what it was in the 360 era. They've done nothing since the inception on x1 but diminish games as a whole, including gamepass which does exactly that.
The one and only shining exam...
Digital passed physical sales awhile back.
Physical games become obsolete with the release of day one patches and disc's just being "keys" to content that still needed to be downloaded.
Having the disc doesn't future proof your library, the only thing that does is us forcing companies to fully embrace bc.
Bs. The absolute bar bones build i could add up was just over $1,200. Thats playing current games at 1440p max, 60fps max, for steady performance.
You can not get ps5 pro performance on a pc for $700. Anyone telling you so is lying. Anyone believing it is foolish.
Credit cards, swipe away. Most of them are one bad day away from financial ruin.
Day one. If I can secure a pre order. $700 is fair for the tech inside. No pc build can touch its performance for $700. And I don't enjoy pc gaming anyway.
Slapped together garbage parts lacking the speed and features of ps5 pro. This build will in no way give comparable performance to pro.
$700 is not too much for whats being offered.
Day one. Hopefully if I can get a pre order in.
This exactly this. We can't keep demanding $400 consoles. Its hampering innovation and technological leaps. $800 consoles would insure no more mid gen refresh consoles. We would get performance and visual jumps from gen to gen that guaranteed 5 years of amazing games before the next generation.
Pc isn't for everyone. Nothing can replace the couch comfortable ease of use consoles offer.
The average gamer just wants to flip on a game and it just works, no tweaking, no tinkering. Some of us love that but the vast majority don't.
$700 is steal for whats packed into ps5 pro. You can't reach those specs and performance with a built or built yourself pc.
I personally have no problem with the price. We need to move on from forcing manufacturers to b...
I cant buy anything comparatively pc wise with those specs for $700.
And I personally can't beat the ease of use gaming on a console. Im getting it day 1.
Yes $700 is high, but phones sell at double that, steam deck sells, rog ally sells. Why are consoles tied to this low price point.
I think we need to move beyond this set in stone price of $400 for consoles otherwise we'll continue stifle innovation.
Its 2024 we can't except consoles to h...
I'm expecting a gta6 gameplay reveal.
Things I no longer support going forward.
Anything under 60fps and lack of backwards compatibility.
Theres no reason all 3 companies can't have full bc, especially considering we're now in the digital download era.
Sony needs to embrace backwards compatibility.
We've gotten literally a handful of exclusive games to the current generation. This is by far the worst generation of gaming.
I'll admit I use my steam deck to stream games from my ps5 to my deck while my wife watches TV.
It works surprisingly good but id never want streaming to be the only way of playing games. Imo local hardware will always be king and streaming can be a secondary method.
I'm running 200mbps up n down fiber optic with a great wireless router 15ft from my deck and ps5 hardwired.
Lag is there and always will be its inherent to streaming.

30fps is garbage, I dont care what your argument for it is.
60fps should be the minimum standard by now even on consoles.
Problem is nintendo sat on switch 2. Specs have been finalized years ago. So its obsolete tech right out the gate.
Ps4 pro power, nope, not gonna happen. $500 sounds plausible though.
Shit company. Xbox sucks.
I complained on here years ago about these adds and people acted like it doesn't happen. This isn't the first time I've seen a big Mac on the console I own with no possible way to remove it.
Could not agree more. Theyve fallen so far from the 360 era. They went from must own to why own.
