At this point I'd be surprised if ps6 and nextbox have disc drives.
The key here is the average consumer wants relatively cheap with ease of use.
Some pc isn't.
These articles are laughable. I cant stand ms but let's all be honest here. They're on track to make over 5bill next year on gp alone. Let's assume the 1bill cost to keep gp running is accurate, thats a 4bill profit on just gp. Now add in actual sales of games, hardware, peripherals. Ms isn't going anywhere and I really hope they don't.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. You can't be 5 games in then suddenly flip the script and expect everyone to accept it.

Unlocked mean the framerate is uncapped, can run above 60fps but will not be consistent allowing for vrr to smooth things out.
They can absolutely compete if they play current gen games. Not proprietary software, those days are gone.
If these handhelds released with the next gen ps6 and nextbox and software scaled down and over to the handhelds then yes it could and would be a very viable option.
I honestly prefer a controller. I had a fanatec wheel and chair for gt6 but just like the ease of use controller offers.

Day 1 I'm dropping money on this game to support the devs. Looking so awesome.
My favorite patched game so far is dragons dogma 2. It took a rough around the edges game and made it really enjoyable.
As an alternative to gaming when away from hardware this is great but I in no way want streaming to be the future and only way to play. As long as there's dedicated hardware and streaming im very happy to do both.
Play locally on my big screen in 4k but when I'm away I can still pick up n play my same game with my save save. Thats awesome.
So steam deck oled once again becomes the best handheld you can buy, considering it can do everything including streaming ps and Xbox and remote play for both.
This is the one game id hoped was going to get a patch.
How's it a failure? I'm betting it took minimal dev resources to do. So any sales it has are a positive.

Cacabunga its almost certainly not compatible in portable mode with original joycons but will be when docked.
