but i've been working in the gaming industry for the past four or five years (i lost count, honestly), and i've seen how games are made, and a lot of the process that goes into making games.

no, i don't know everything about that process, but i know it's just not as easy to make changes to game code this late in the game without drastically effecting other things, not to mention the additional cost it would take to implement those changes.

the devs aren't being lazy ...

how much time it takes to implement Trophies (or even Achievements) into a game?

are you a game developer?

who knows what Lucasarts resources are like for this game. maybe manpower has already been allocated to the NEXT project they are working on, considering that TFU is about a month or two from release.

to create Trophies (i'm assuming, since it's a retail game, you'd have about 45-50 Achievements):

1.) you'd need some artists to create t...

Sony said that most games releasing this year won't support Trophies, because they understand that a lot of the titles slated for this year (especially now that we are in the last 5 months of the year), don't have enough time to implement Trophies into the game. most games released from 2009 and on, however, WILL support Trophies, as those games aren't in the final stages, and the Trophy system can be implemented much easier than a game that's less than 3 months from release.

i think Sackboy has the potential to a new icon in gaming.

he has that look that makes people say "Awww" (i showed my fiance and my roommate the "Dream" trailer for LBP, and they thought it was adorable), and the customizability of the characters in the game SCREAM "cha-ching!" in relation to selling Sackboys at retail outlets like Target and Walmart (in the US), with a plethora of clothing accessories for young kids and collectors to gobble up.

about Little Big Planet being pushed to October.

the game was showcased at GDC 2007. the game is releasing a year and half later.

considering the scope and scale of this game, i'd have been worried if it released in early 2007, in an incomplete or buggy form.

at least we know that when the game does release at the end of October, it will be a polished, robust title, more than worth the $60 we will pay for it.

delays are only worthless when t...

i mean, i understand tradition and all, but hasn't there been a Halo at nearly every E3 since MS entered the gaming industry? lol.

anyway, if we're lucky, they'll show off Alan Wake (but god forbid it doesn't look as good as Heavy Rain), and maybe a few more surprises.

i'm not saying Halo shouldn't be at Leipzig, just that it doesn't really have the WOW factor that it used to.

gamers are just as excited about new IPs as they are about their returning cla...

tell that to the 18th century women being hunted as witches. lol.

anyway, i agree, nobody but fanboys care who nasim is, or who anybody who obviously have multiple accounts are.

i'm a huge Playstation fan, but even I put nasim on my ignore list. cahlil, or whatever his name is, is also a top contender for my list, as i have no tolerance for blatant twisting of facts and numbers, and just outright making sh*t up. goes for the 360 fanboy side too (ie, Power of Green). ...

and story image are just wrong, and completely undermines what is otherwise a very interesting, thought-provoking story.

it SHOULD BE a concern to us gamers if developers are being hindered in ANY way when it comes to the creation of games.

the relationship between developers and gamers is a symbiotic one; they produce content and offer it to us. we choose to purchase that content, which will allow them to create more content to offer to us, which we choose to purcha...

the PS1 and PS2 showed incredible foresight and had quality libraries, why WOULDN'T the PS3 showcase the same?

so far, i've been proven more right than wrong in choosing the PS3 as my first next gen console purchase (i got a 360 about a year later; i currently have no plans to buy a Wii. not until they release a "Wii HD,"...

on reviews too much to validate their tastes and interests these days.

i was picking up Bionic Commando regardless of what site gave it what scores, because it looked bad@ss, and i remember playing the old one on the NES ages ago when i was a boy, and this is one of the coolest remakes i've seen in a long time (although a 3D remake of Chrono Trigger, and an Odin Sphere esque remake of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night would trump it in my book).

i mean, it's cool th...

an incredible knack for foresight.

it's generally underappreciated every time a new Playstation console is released (the PS1 was criticized for having a CD drive, which made the console more expensive; the PS2 was criticized for including DVD, which made the console more expensive; the PS3 was criticized for including a Blu Ray drive, which made the console more expensive). you'd think that looking back at the past decisions Sony has made, especially in relation to the Playstati...

hell, me and my fiance curled up and watched a movie rented from the PS Store.

i tend to reserve my Blu Ray purchases for visually arresting movies/tv shows, and most certainly CG movies (i can't WAIT for Kung Fu Panda on Blu Ray. that movie is great). if i can find the older ones, or comedies on Blu Ray for less than $20 i'll pick them up, but i stick to the blockbusters or CG films.

don't bother responding to me, because you are on my ignore list. your past comment history has made be oblivious to ANYTHING you have to say, even if you "reform."

my advice is to please add ME to YOUR ignore list.

i honestly don't care about anything that comes out of your "mouth," so why waste your time on responding to my comments?

making myself download stuff from Xbox LIVE Marketplace, and for a few reasons:

1) i don't like points. i like to know how much i'm spending on a game without having to go through a conversion process. if the game is $5, then tell me it's $5, and just localize the pricing according to location.

2) i don't have much room on my "20" gig 360. after formatting, i only had about 11 or so gigs free, and if i download a few demos, or videos, i'm already at capacit...

be a gaming expert? pretty pleeeease?

anyway, that sounds about the same for me. gaming keeps me sane, and i need to game for at least 1 hour a week to keep from going mad. only on a good week do i get up to 20 hours of game time. those are pretty rare, honestly.
