I swear there must be a curse on the third console a company releases. I think that’s just when companies get cocky. Sony had it with PS3, Microsoft had it with Xbox One, and even Nintendo got arrogant and went with cartridges on the N64 when every developer was telling them to use CD ROM. Squaresoft even left Nintendo for Sony over that issue.
I liked Cid a lot. The only thing is they kind of portrayed him as a grumpy old man when he's 32 years old.
I'm older than that lol
@ rainslacker I thought the reason they started having weapons was because the signal from unknown origin forced GAIA to destroy herself preventing HADES from resurrecting the Faro plague but it also prevented her from overseeing and managing all of the subroutines. This allowed HEPHAESTUS to start crafting and building more extreme bots and with more powerful weaponry because people had been hunting them so much for parts (preventing them from doing their job).

Ken Kutaragi was still heading up PlayStation division during the R&D of PS3. IBM developed the Cell processor though.
While you can simulate surround sound using two speakers, TV speakers definitely lack the frequency response and amplification to get a similar sound to that of which an AV receiver with a solid speaker setup would give you. No algorithm on Sony's part is going to suddenly make your TV speakers rattle your room every time an explosion happens on-screen. You need a powered subwoofer.
That being said, what Sony is doing doesn't quite seem like their trying to emulate a typical ...
"After Houser exit, things have been a disaster! The office caught on fire and we're out of coffee! Send help!"
Surprised Horizon Zero Dawn wasn't listed. I had a blast with that game but I guess everyone's tastes are different.
What's been driving me crazy is when I'm driving on the road with no real threat of actually getting close to a BT, it still completely stops the vehicle to play that animation because I barely crossed into a BT zone. I don't mind it while on foot but when driving it's reeeally annoying... made worse when there's a five second delay before the vehicle will move again after that animation. I don't really even take many deliveries to South Knot City anymore because of th...
The original FF7 was a 40-50 hr game on average. The Midgar section could be completed in roughly 4 hours or so though. People are concerned on the development time for this project because it’s taken them this long to develop about 10% of the original game. Hopefully with a lot of assets already made and the game mechanics all there, development on future installments will be much shorter.
The source code was lost if I recall correctly. Archiving was sloppy back then.
Google needs to do two things right for this to work.
1) the hardware and tech just needs to work and the price needs to be reasonable.
2) it’s all about the games. They need an exclusive critical hit with this. Something that wins GotY awards. Something that entices people to take notice and give it a shot. Netflix understood this when they started producing their own content with House of Cards. That show went on to sweep the Emmys and the rest was hist...
I expect FF7R to almost certainly be a PS5 title at this point, or at the very least a cross-generation title.
They recorded the voices in Senua's head using a legit binaural microphone but you only get the full effect of it if you wear headphones (running in stereo, not virtual surround).
I know what you mean though. I have a Harman/Kardon receiver with Polk Audio surround myself and I can confirm this game was still better on headphones :) It's down right unsettling hearing those voices creep up right next to your ear!
Nice! This was the first game I've bothered to platinum in years. That's how much I enjoyed the game personally. Great story and lore, great characters, and most importantly fun to play.
Definitely get The Frozen Wilds. It's really top-notch DLC!
Didn't we go through this same BS after Columbine?
The first amendment only protects free speech/expression from government persecution. Private institutions can pretty much do whatever they like unless they are acting on behalf of a government or otherwise pushing things like employment laws that restrict employers' ability to prevent employees from disclosing their salary with coworkers or attempting to organize a labor union. Things like that.
Whether or not it was right for him to lose his job over an opinion is up ...
One of the reasons a lot of gamers don't like Anita Sarkeesian is because she seems to want to censor creative vision to appease a personal belief of her's and we don't like censoring creativity. However, this goes both ways. If Neil Druckmann wants to create a game rife with a political message that reflects his views, that's his prerogative as a creator. It's his (and his teams') vision and they should be able to do that just the same as Koei Tecmo should be able to ...
Well, in all fairness (though I really, really like this game), by the author's own logic, Cor, Cid, and (to an extent) Ravus suffer from the same problems as the women. The author never brings them up but they're only in the game to push Noctis along his journey too.
I'll be honest though, Cindy's outfit is a little bit ridiculous.
I tend to agree. I just bought a nice 65", 4k/HDR tv and so far, it seems that a consistent 60fps yields greater impact on clarity than a higher resolution does. Obviously, when the frame is still 4k will look better but games are almost never stationary. The very nature of almost all games demands that the player progress through movement. 1080/60 with some really nice anti aliasing looks REALLY great even on 4k TV's.
Of course, 4k/60 would be like acquiring the h...
Oh look, a billion dollar company suing another billion dollar company because they're making slightly less money than they could be making. Forgive me if I don't take sides.
