That's not really true. When you insert a new disc in, it begins the install from the disc to the hard drive and initiates a download of any patches or updates that might be available... but the game itself is on the disc. Once installed, the game will play off of the hard drive with the disc acting as the key.

If people really want to futureproof their physical games media, they should really be waiting six months to a year after release to buy the games though. If you...

I’m getting near the end and I’ve had a blast. Yeah it has its nitpick flaws (mainly with the side quests) but the main quest is really top tier stuff.

So far, this might be my favorite FF since probably 9. Congrats to the whole team at CBU3!

I would guess either end of OG's disc 1 or right after the northern crater when everything seems hopeless.

The last Sacred Symbols podcast episode seemed to suggest that yes, Bungie passed Haven and Firewalk's games but failed Factions. Dustin Furman's theory is that Naughty Dog are such perfectionists and take so long to release anything that Bungie might've been skeptical that they could keep up a pace of content release that would keep players engaged.

I enjoyed setting up the perfect gambits but overall it was too automated. I think it would have been better if the player-controlled character was not allowed gambits or the monsters were more aggressive so they could actually force the player to intervene more than just occasionally.

Don't know if a system like that would work for Rebirth unless it's only implemented for easy/classic modes. The battle system forces you to constantly switch between characters and a...

Have a feeling he's talking about the Horus here.

People might not be interested in VR for a variety of different reasons.

It might make them motion sick (it does for me), they might not like the idea of strapping a big device to their head that pretty much completely locks them out of the real world, etc.

But the biggest reason is price vs the amount of quality software. You buy a game console on the promise and trust that quality games that you enjoy are going to come to it. This is a trust built of de...

Isn't it Cory Barlog? A Balrog is a creature from Lord of the Rings lol

Wow, didn’t expect that. I knew inflation had to be eating into them but I thought they would release a new, more streamlined and simplified SKU to gain it back.

Price increases suck, especially for electronics which do nothing but depreciate in value.

Yeah, CV was originally RE3 and RE3: Nemesis was originally Resident Evil: Nemesis, a spinoff game from RE2 if I remember right. Sony pointed out to Capcom that they had signed a deal for three mainline Resident Evil games on the Playstation so Capcom was forced to change the names.

I don't know why they skipped it though and it would be weird to go back to it now. It takes place before RE4.
I hope they do go back to it though. Steve really needs the remake tre...

Kind of bummed that they skipped Code Veronica but this looks fantastic. This winter is gonna be nuts for horror titles!

Oh man, PC players are in for a treat. Dark, cerebral, mind bender of a plot paired with gameplay that feels fantastic. Think this is still my favorite PS5 game thus far.

The complete failure of The FF Spirits Within movie is what led to the Enix merger. That movie almost ruined Squaresoft which left them little choice. Sakaguchi also left Square shortly after.

I miss the golden years of Squaresoft so badly though. They were putting out banger after banger.

"Not our intent" is PR speak for "that's not why we bought them but it could happen".

Not sure why the disagrees but Sony buying studios isn’t surprising for two reasons. The first being the obvious one of competing with MS and their big Bathesda acquisition.
The 2nd reason being that we are in a period of economic inflation right now and it makes more sense for companies to invest their cash rather than have it sit in an account and lose value.

To be clear though, they specifically said “original title”. That doesn’t necessarily mean new IP. They could be making a sequel to an existing franchise.

The first Amendment protects people from government persecution against speech and expression. The guy will not be arrested or otherwise have criminal charges brought against him so the first amendment is still there working.
It does not however protect against civil suits (slander and libel laws) or punishment from private organizations so long as that punishment is within the law.

Agree or not, Mr Wilson had everyone from industry giants (Cory Barlog) to celebrit...

You joke but I think this actually has some truth to it. I really feel like Konami is doing the bare minimum to just keep the IP relevant enough to make pachinko machines and merch.
