to see if M$ will continue this flow of great news. They were impressive at TGS, but it only makes peoples expectations grow, so I'm just waiting to see what M$ is going to do next. I think if all they did was show more of what was shown at TGS, and then throw in a little Halo3 news, with maybe some Mass Effect info. some release dates and then some new gameplay footage of GOW, then they would be looking very, very good in my book......Damm, I hate begging!, but you can go to jail for threat...
First I'm gonna kick some Locust butt then I'm going on to get online and kick those slow little punks that call themselve gamers all over XBL! mmmwwwahaharr! No seriously, I'm really not that annoying on Live, I'm just kidding 'cause I can't wait to play this game and the multiplayer stuff sounds cool.
You make some excellent points, and despite my personal feelings about Nintendo's strategy right now, the one thing I'm sure we can agree about is that Nintendo is good for the industry, I truly do wish them the best of luck and I hope they have a significant market share so they will stick aroung for generations to come.....but really I'm not worried 'cause it's still Nintendo so its not like we're talking about some fledging upstart company that will go out of business. Nintendo is indeed ...
OK, you're right I should watch how I phrase my statements because theres always a "slow one". I apologize that after reading my whole post you could not understand that the word "give" in this context is referring to M$ "giving" us a 1080p update and "giving" us the option of buying HD DVD add on...since it wasn't intially promised when you brought the console. I hope you were just being a smart____ and that you don't really believe that my statement...
Nintendo is THE REASON why I'm a Gamer today. I played those early arcade games and 1 or 2 other consoles before I got the NES for my birthday long ago. In my eyes, the NES was perfect, it was gaming bliss compared to anything I had ever experienced before. So I hate to say the things I'm about to say, but really its OK, because its just my opinion. Nintendo did not grow with me, honestly I like certain "types" of games now, I'm a different gamer now(older). The gamecube disapo...
Theres a clear distinction between this and what Sony does over and over again.
The fact is that we all brought the 360 with the expectation that it would have 720p & 1080i, thats what M$ promised....thats all. Now they are giving fans more like 1080p and HD DVD....not because its neccessary for most gamers, but it is important from a PR standpoint because it takes away another "PERCIEVED" advantage that their competitor uses against them. So while M$ continues t...
Everyone on this site is biased or have preferences that lean one way or another, which simply put; forms our likes and dislikes. Thats what makes us human.
If I state I don't like FF because I don't like classic turn-based RPG's, then that doesn't make me a "hater of PS3", its just 1 game I'm not interested in.(which is truly my opinion) Yes, and I know that makes me different from the majority (especially in Japan), but it doesn't make me a "hater" if I'...
OK, I read your post and I still don't understand your logic, but I do think you make some valid points about standalone players costing alot more because of them needing a CPU with dedicated RAM, etc. and its already included in the PS3 (which Im aware of), but still I think theres a significant portion of money from the research/ development and mfg. cost of the Blu-ray laser itself that translate to a higher priced PS3 for the consumer, but I guess we will have to agree to disagree on the ...
First of all I want to say thanks for the response.
Your comments:
"Blu-ray was put in for games; movie playback was put in for free and is completely optional."
-I would agree it's for games,(obviously) but given the fact that Sony themselves have suggested(not confirmed)that they may release game bundles with BR movies "for free" shows that they want to push the format into gamers homes.
-Yes BR movie playback comes ...
take your own advice and prove to us what you said about M$ stealing Mac's idea is actually true. Hey as a matter of fact I hear Apple is looking for a new lawyer.....I'm sure you're the guy for the job!
Well Truth, I'm not one of the "70%" who has already stated I don't want a PS3, so I'm just curious exactly what you think about these statements from Phil. DJ, I completely disagree with your post, but this news was about Phil's comments, your welcome to your opinion, but if you don't mind I would like to ask you and Truth 2 question?
1. My first question is do you really believe what Phil said in this interview, specifically that Blu-ray was implented "purely...
ha, ha lol....first this guy says he doesn't want to sound arrogant, but then he tells us a bold face lie by saying that Blu-ray was put in PS3 for a "purely" games point of view, and then he has the nerve to try to make us believe that BD does not add anything to the cost of the PS3. WOW, that contradicts everything that I've heard before, even from Sony. It would have been just fine if he had said yes the BD did add to the price, but we felt that it was a neccessary risk because...
OK, lets try to use a little rational thinking here. The good thing about polls is that they are an *indicator of what people think, at any given moment and because they are usually anonymous they are somewhat reliable because its assumed that people have no reason to be dishonest....which tells you if your PR is working or that people genuinely like your product. -So that's a good thing.//// But the bad thing about polls is that they really are only a "INDICATOR" of what people th...
Hey thats some good info. Yeah, honestly I think when it comes to videogames, Japanese gamers have a clear bias towards anything "foriegn". Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon will help M$, but not much....because the bottom line is the mass market is loyal to local companies, at least when it comes to videogames they are.
OK, so its less than 2 months before launch and there's still major questions about Sony's online plans?, exact prices of games?, what the PSP & PS3 connection functionality will actually be like?, and now we hear component cables are not included with no final word on exactly what cables are included? Then you add the fact that the only launch game that is 100%complete is RR7, and most of the others are less than 85% complete and some have noticeable framerate issues, which will likely ...
lol, It's the kind of info. that makes you only feel stooooopider for reading it....thats funny as hell, I wonder if he really asked her to marry him. lol
Did anyone notice this part of the news article:
--------He was also tight-lipped about rumors of future hardware upgrades to the PlayStation 3 configuration, which Sony Computer Entertainment president Ken Kutaragi has alluded to in past interviews. "If we do it, when we do it," Harrison said, referring to PlayStation 3 component upgrades---
---
That part sounds like he was disagreeing with at least something that Ken has stated about hardware u...
Now that you mention it, yeah I think the 360 does generate its share of noise, but the funny thing is I never thought about how much noise my 360 made. I've played countless times, along with about 20 different friends/associates altogether and no one ever mentioned to me how loud my 360 was.....oh well, I guess we were just to busy enjoying the games. Come on Sonyfanboys, your BS is getting weaker and weaker. You guys should be much more worried about the potential for "overheating&...
Most of those pics look very, very impressive. I liked the gameplay video's also, but some of them were a little rough, which is fine since these games are still unfinished. I'll definitely be keeping track of MGS4's progress.
Antan, sarcasm only works if you use it correctly, which I already explained....but its cool I was just trying to help. But I'm sure the other members would rather be reading posts related to this news article, and not our silly little debate so that's all from me.
