1. Larger worlds
2. Upgraded AI (hopefully)
3. Upgraded graphics
4. More room for innovative games
5. Sony 1st party
I'm getting Knack, I watched quite a few streams, including Yoshida's.
It looks very fun, challenging & a step up from current gen graphics of that genre.
It's fine if the next console lacks BC, if said BC is complicated & would raise the costs of the console.
You're not held at gun point to buy the next console.
If you still have a current gen console with all of your games, that's fine, play that.
If you don't have a next gen or current gen console, but you want a current gen console, that's fine, go out & buy it.
It's convenient to be able to play all of our ga...
I hope they can profit quickly & I hope no issues come up in the future.
It's going to take a while to cover the PS3 losses.
Yoshida is the best face for Sony atm.
Yoshida himself, when asked if there were any more surprises in store for the PS4 at launch event, said a solid:
"No".
We hyped ourselves up when Yoshida told us not to.
Uncharted 4 is always nice though.
It's a cool feature, but you've got to admit that Kinect scanning the code seems faster.
But it's the difference between a built in camera & a peripheral camera.
7 is NOT a bad score.
But it's not a perfect one either.
I'm sure I heard somewhere that Cerny created this game as a bridge for beginner & mobile gamers to get onto the console.
I don't think he had the Killzone players in mind.
I guess it's just alien to me, it's not often that you see grown men show excitement for something.
Good for him though & I'm hoping he got a good launch unit.
Fair point, I forgot the price.
During an unboxing video (PS4, I think it was a radio host), they said $400 is a lot, so I don't know what their reaction would be for $500.
I'm sure casuals with a decent pay roll won't mind though.
Does he seem a bit nervous?
He seems a bit awkward in this video, not sure why.
Honestly, I can see this being a big thing to bring in some fitness enthusiasts, or casual people who are impressed by tech.
I'll just turn the automatic updates off myself.
It doesn't bother me updating the machine & the games personally.
Yeah, definitely need some unique changes to genres to keep them fresh & unique,
but the downplaying of resolution after last gen is getting embarrassing at this point.
Fair point about the Kinect.
I wouldn't even consider the Kinect a peripheral camera anymore, it's practically built around it.
Graphical differences haven't been borne out.
["It’s also worth remembering that if you can notice the difference between a 1600x900 and a 1280x720 resolution without blinking then you’re probably sitting too close to the TV."]
^Lmao.
As long as they create more exclusives for the Vita & don't have the same game on the PS3/PS4.
The majority of the time, people will opt for the superior version, so they're not doing themselves any favours going that route.
I'll probably get the Vita2k to play a bit before I get the PS4.
It may be the sound of the game installing in the background.
If the exclusive content is just a skin, then yes he seriously over hyped it.
If it's a main mission, with side ops & the skin then I guess I'll take that.
But it depends on if it's being lost in translation.
I'm going to assume that the games will have upgraded effects using the new hardware, so I wouldn't completely agree that we'd have the right to own them on the next platform for free.
If they're the "exact" same games then I agree with you.
PS4 has games, you just refuse to take those blinders off.
I hope they can bring the characters to next gen properly, some of their designs for next gen Daxter were a bit off.
I'd love it if they could go back to Jak & Daxter's roots again somehow, Precursor Legacy is my favourite & going from that to #2 with the HD remakes, it killed the charm for me.
#3 did a good job of making it a bit more fun again though.
Kojima wants people to hate MGS, so we won't ask for anymore.
Probably.
Maybe.
I think.
