Most of my friends don't even know what IGN is. They have no clue about 1up or anything like that. They just listen to me when I tell them about up and coming stuff. Still ... they take my word with a grain of salt and try it out themselves.

With all your choices and options, one would think that a lackluster game that got much less then stellar reviews would, as you say, BOMB. an online communittee feel as though our opinions matter much more then they really do. I'm not saying that it doesn't have an affect but, look at the sales for Blue Dragon and Lair. Neither games scored well with the critics but, are still doing OK on sales and managed to make it into the top 10.

not even bad reviews of both Dragon games have slowed down the sales for the software. I was wondering if all the negative press online would affect sales but, it doesn't appear that IGN and the rest of the sites have that large of an impact on sales.
Where did you get your magic 8 ball at? Walmart ...? I don't know if it's really working properly. The only reason paramount isn't loosing out on this is, because A LOT of money just somehow showed up in their account.
BTW ... which version of 300 sold better? Wait ... is there a movie that's sold better in HD-DVD than Blu-Ray in the last 6+ months? Don't bring up exclusive titles either.
edit: So one movie has done slightly better? HD-DVD got killed by blu-ray ...
LOL They just won't be getting as much of my money had they offered the movie in blu-ray. I ... like others will be waiting it out with a dvd version in the meantime.

I think it's rather intuitive and easy with the motion sensing. Cars ... little bit different. lol
I'm thinking our little population of internet gaming whoredom is a small number when compared to the whole. People might still pick this up or rent it and find out for themselves. I'm going to rent it and see.
I think heavenly sword should be in there as well. There's a whole lot of PS fans that are waiting for an action hack n slash game just like it. I know I'm one of em. Other then that ... warhawk for sure. Drakes forture and UT 3 are going to be huge as well. Then there's 2008. It looks pretty good from here on out. I just wouldn't call Lair my turning point.
as a download because it wasn't full price. It also doesn't take up large amounts of HD space. Had these things not been so, I would have bought a disk and gave my old headset to my GF.

If you don't have a headset, then the full version is worth it too. I played for like 10 hours yesterday. I love being able to have split screen online too. More games need to have this as an option.
This makes me happy.
There's two reasons I want a 360 again. It's Bioshock and Halo 3. One I will never get. So ... the 360 will always have a pull on me. If the other comes over (which I don't think it ever will), then that's one less thing pulling at me.
