Sony is not addressing the issue of such support. There is no point getting a second console if such console doesn't represents a significant leap on graphic performance on the same generation. Even if clients hand in the ps4 for a ps4 pro there must be a graphical upgrade significantly enough to justify 130 dollars.

These decisions will be more comfortable for Sony if they really want to hit 60 frames per second in 4k. At that date they could easily could perform at 80 frames per second in the new hardware.
