Think about it. MS was hoping to just make a bigger dent in what was a market dominated by Sony. They new the PS3 was going to be expensive. The only chance they had to make a bigger dent in market share was to come out first and make sure you are cheaper than your competitor. Had they put a HD-DVD or a Blu ray drive in the 360 the cost would have obviously been much much higher. They took a gamble that it would be a few years before their storage device was going to be a big detrimen...
Game Informer mag. This months has a small article and it states they played GT5 Mlb10 the show and Super stardust hd. They said it was like the screens didn't match up right with the action, and overall they said it was pretty meh. The only thing they though was awesome was the pitching in mlb10. So I don't know what to think about this, it sounds cool, but I wonder how seamlessly the games that weren't created specifically for 3d will react when they are played 3d after Sony does the up...
But when the PS3 gets the substandard version of something, um.. Bayonetta, its not the ps3's fault its the company that did the port? So which is it?
edit:WmW, I don't think the dvd caused it to less than HD, maybe the cut scenes, but not the gameplay. As for Bayonetta, it has nothing to do with HD, read my comment, my point was when the ps3 gets a subpar version of a game, its the developer/port companies fault, when xbox360 gets the subpar version, its xbox360/microsofts fault. C...
I played the demo a couple of times. The only thing I don't like is your character walks really slow all the time, like he is strutting. How about a little spring in his step so it doesn't take 5 minutes to walk down an alley. Other than that, I was totally immersed in the game. Can't wait to spend countless hours playing it.
I think there are great things about both consoles. There is no reason for all the hate on either side. I bought my 360 at launch, first one died about a year later, got a new one from bestbuy on their warranty. I have had my ps3 for about a year now. It is an awesome time to be a gamer right now. I get exclusives for both machines. I play Madden on the 360 cuz thats where I have my majority of friends, but I have found that there have been so many games for the ps3 over the last year t...
If this game doesn't sell like crazy then people are nuts.
Most cable companies in smaller towns only have 20-30 channels in hd, so people go out and buy a 52 inch lcd and 80 channels look like junk and the 20-30 are good. Directv and dish have tons of hd channels but cable still outweighs them as far as market share. Your big cities have cable that has a ton of hd channels as well, but we all don't live in the big cities, in fact the majority don't. I can guarantee that my mom will never buy a big hdtv until her local cable company has the major...
They played a few of the games that the ps3 upgraded to 3d and said it wasn't all that good. They played mlb 10 the show, gt5 and stardust hd. "WE tried all three demos and each of them felt like a gimmicky last minute implementation of the technology." "issues like blurry user interfaces and camera angles that don't jibe with the 3d soured the experience". So I don't know why people are getting all hyped up about this. Since about 50% of homes have hdtv's and about 1...
First off, if this is true, the people who are saying, "sony will sell more ps3's now" should not be happy. Sony doesn't really make any money on the hardware, and if people are going to be getting free copies of games why would this benefit sony? Only in N4G world of fanboys would this be considered a win for sony. Yeah, lets sell 10 million more units and make basically 0 dollars on them, and less people will buy software because they can get illegal copies. Oh that sounds lik...
You need a big room for games like dodgeball or whatever they call it, some games like when they showed burnout you just need to be sitting down. So I am not sure what your talking about. I am sure it is going to be like the wii, party games, some serious games. You need a lot of room for wii sports, and you swing your arms around for that as well, but none of that nonsense for mario galaxy.
I just love how everyone thinks every game for it will have you flailing around like...
So which is it, they have a 7.5 million console lead, or ps3 has actually sold as many, the 360's are all the replacement for the rrod. Fanboys on both sides are idiots.
I was just at my best buy today and they have plenty of ps3's so if you need one, hit bestbuy.com you will be alright.
I can't wait for the complete game, but this will have to do.
WKC and MAG, its nice to see that the review crews are not Anti-Sony. Looks like this is going to be a AAA game as far as review scores go. I can't wait to get this game. I know its an "interactive movie", but that appeals to me. Cant wait, cant wait.
is that the A.I. is a bit weak. don't get me wrong, I love the game, but I played it about 6 months ago when i pulled my 64 out the closet to play some game, and i was astonished how terrible the a.i. was at times. I sure didn't remember it being that bad. It brought back great memories though. In fact, I might play it again today.
Cuz if the ps3 is going to last 10 years, then there are going to be a lot more games to be downloaded, or are you going to go in and manually delete every install when you finish with a game. 320 gb, 5gb installs, thats 64 games over 10 years, and thats if you don't download any demos or lets not forget the manditory updates to games that can add even more gb's, and then any psn games, so yeah, you will probably have to upgrade again, so for many people who bought the 40 or 60 gb, will hav...
and lets say you have about 20 games and maybe 6 or 7 have an install of around 5gb, thats almost all or at least half of your space, Kinda sucks. I know, hard drives are cheap as hell right now, but still could be kind of annoying to have to go back and delete files from older games. I know I play older games all the time, I just played the first uncharted again about two weeks ago. But, hey, why do I care, I have a 160gb ps3 so whatever.
I am in the beta and every tournament has nothing but -20 to -22 rounds for every round. I know its not a true sim, but please.
Did you not read what I wrote. I think it had way more to do with timing/price , which yes i know is greed, but more for survivability. There was no way if microsoft waited and charge the same amount, that they would have sold as many as they did. Do people not remember last gen? 100+millions ps2's sold. MS had a choice to make: Make a system that has the same capabilities as the competitor and come out at the same time/price, or rush something out that will hit the market sooner and be...
