It encourage parent to buy this to their children, when they could make a better long term investment in a PS3. ;(
Easier for developper mean more games. The question is who will use it, it was presented as a CASUAL GAMER product, so it might not be implemented for big games. The goal is to get some of wii people that want better graphic and better experience.
It is actually nice to see the 3 console taking different path in those à la motion. That will create more exclusive games, cause of such different hardware.

Well after 3 years. But is it fun also to mention that for a while the wii are so easy to find in store, they don't sell anymore, the wii bubble is blowed.
But the xbox come with 2 games. I hate xbox, but buyers believe it worth more cause it come with games. What do you want me to say.
Well sony don't understand yet, or don't want to intentionnaly: WAKE UP. The 360 come with 2 games and the PS3 0. What is worth to customer eyes. The choice is clear to them: the 2 games, especially Halo. Why not bundle MGS+uncharted? Killzone? It's just apiece of plastic that cost nothing to produce.
That is my favorite of PS2 + battlefront + Rock band + Force unleash. Go amy.
Early adopters of the slim might have quality surprise. Parts are too cheap. Well compare to MS, MS look like they take their parts to the $ store, it is not better.
It will be just to invite people to spend more$ and give less service.

I went to the store, there was alot of Wii, alot of 360 and no PS3, except the 400$ one. It tell alot. But before Ps3 beat sales of 360 in us, well there is 2x the number of 360 than ps3 in USA. But there is a whole bunch of people that where waiting for the Slim, and how it is there. Alot of people waiting for the BC and it is for 2010, as soon as the ps2 is out dicontinued next year, a new update will put all ps3 BC. It will be like order 59 in star wars, kill all other consoles. GOW3.
AND IT'S FREE. See no reason to charge for xbox live, people don't know they pay for RROD.

Well it is a whole movement, it can't be unnoticed. The raise of the casual game, the wii sport (character with no legs) they laught at people. It is killing the industry, there is so many free games all over the web, Big Fish and so on. Even the Xbox sell that arcade console to match the wii. If it continue that direction, game dev will say: well let's scrap the nice graphic and let's do casual game.
Please Sony don't do that.

- In us there is 8m 360, 4m ps3 sold. I went to brand mart, game stop... the ps3 is there in the stand, turned off and the tv off. Well there is something wrong.
Sony just did what it have to do, not more.
What they should do to win:
- Bundle the camera+ motion control + sport game with nice graphic at sam...
It is already a cheap console, with cheap graphic.
