Don't see how the ps5 will be 100% capable of solving these issues since outworlds will be a Microsoft exclusive from here on out, but keep dreaming.
Also how can you honestly think only the ps5 can and that the xsx may be able to? Your fan boy goggles are showing way to much there newmonday

Did you read the article? All he said was environments will load faster and you can get rid of things like long elevator rides.
Only game changer I'm seeing so far is less in game loading. Not complaining about that, I'm complaining because I'm tired of hearing about game loading.
What are these consoles doing to change gaming for the better. I'm talking about both ps5 and xsx. Yay faster game loading and environmental loading, no more elevator rides, yay ...

Could've done that in fallout 4. All that's up to the dev

You got that from YouTube nice.... now how many people watched it live on mixer?

I like the design, but it's the features of it that's caught my attention. Kinda wondering if xbox will do anything like that in the future

No basically to sum up what he said is that he could more easily max out the ps5 and that unless you actually do the work and optimize for the xsx you wont.
So it just turns out that he's lazy at his job and wants to be paid for less effort. I say this last part because Cerny did state that the ps5 was built like the ps4 in order to make the jump to next gen easier on the dev's.

@sharingan_no_kakashi
Um no the ps5 cpu and gpu does not run a peak performance unless they need to down click it and cerny did not state that it did twice! In fact what he did say twice is that it holds peak power consumption 100% of the time. This means that if its using 9.2ghz at 300watts its using 10.2ghz at 300watts also. The power is the only thing that does not fluctuate. Cerny also stated that neither the CPU or gpu could be boosted fully at the same time. So no matter how y...

America is being hit, what are you talking about?!
Our leadership is made up of nothing but a bunch of selfrichious assholes that all needed to retire like 30yrs ago! It's not the public's fault it the miss information, lies, deflecting, and utter stupidity of all our branches of governments fault. Don't worry, we in America will straighten shit out, once our leadership is all infected and smart intelligent people can take over

Yeah ps for the win because capcom didn't optimize for xbox in any way shape or form.
Capcom's just shitting out a game on xbox and not even caring.
It's a shame when a dev of capcom's caliber shots all over their customers like this

Funny because that 10gig of superfast ram is purely for the games. Only 3.5gig if the slower ram will even be used by a game.
If you actually watched the presentation from DF while they were at MS you'd know that MS actually solved that error problems, the ram was to fast and they kept getting errors.
Its obvious you know a ton about how hardware works, but it's also obvious that you didn't watch the breakdown of the xsx either and that you...

How does slower ram and a smaller bus with way less memory bandwidth than the xsx equal better than it? You sir or madam just validated why I don't bother being intelligent anymore

2140d ago 8 agree8 disagreeView comment

Even df stated that the xsx is incredibly balanced for both power and efficiency, so I don't know where your getting one is one way and the other is another way. The xsx has custom 3d audio, high bandwidth ram, a larger ram bus, massive amount of ray tracing hardware, separate hardware just for decompression, separate hardware just to push data around and a good amount of l1 and l2 cash. Its balanced pretty damned well for power and performance.
If anything the ps5 seems more ...

Never said it was bad. I said its underwhelming, there is a difference in the two statements. They put all their money in the ssd. They went with a smaller ram bus and slower ram. Plus the 10tf is variable and now matter if one is working at a higher frequency and another at a lower they're still working at the same power, so what's the point of the 10 tf?! Their specs don't make a difference so its underwhelming. If you don't agree cool but that's my ...

You should watch the hole dg episode on the series x break down.
It has separate rt cores, and they straight up said that rt on the xsx has very little impact on the CPU and gpu end

@captainhenry
You buy a memory unit the same way that u buy an ssd for the ps5. The main difference is that the xsx has proprietary that you can buy right at launch, and the ps5 can use specific spec name drives from any party the meets sonys parameters and those don't exist yet.
Did everyone miss that portion?! They'll be a list of compatible units once they're made
