From what I've been reading elsewhere it sounds like they made this with Multiplayer as the main attraction, over single player.
Why not?
Good move sir!
Where are you seeing that dude? Old version of the article perhaps? Weird.
But the XNA model isn't the best route. It's costly to start apparently and XNA games don't get the best exposure on the dashboard. The internet news sites are proof that people don't want to actively seek things out in the majority, they want to have the best things handed to them. it's linked to things like website bounce rate etc.
More exposure for XNA and indeed PSN indie devs would be a great thing for the industry.
Read the article mate, it explains why the developers who DO choose PSN over XBLA do so. It's not trying to say that one is better than the other. Shocking when people don't read beyond the headline.
Me too, but that's not the point of the article.
List doesn't appear to be in any kind of order mate :)
And good shout on Hitman
Both unofficially unannounced yeah. No big press reveal or anything like that.
Love this kind of game, Streets of Rage 2 etc. The art style is superb as well.
It's based on a series of graphic novels. The movies and game are based on the novels.
The books are brilliant, I suggest you seek them out as they're full of brilliant gaming culture references.
It's a close call, but I reckon Uncharted 3 would pip it for me too.
It's utter shit, and yes I've played the full game.
Yeah no one can deny he's got a real passion for game creation, it's refreshing to see :)
Agreed
Haha, well said. Have a bubble vote!
Legend!
It would be cool, but do enough younger gamers know about System Shock to make it bankable? I'm not sure but I really would like to see a new sequel.
Agreed, I think the guy is a visionary, but his best work is definitely a while ahead of him. Can you imaging what he could do with a triple-a budget, but still within an indie game sensibility? The mind boggles.
Yeah that's a fair point dude, I don't think they ever stated that it was the main attraction. makes you wonder why they didn't big up the online element more.
