The issue is story and gameplay here, we all know Platnium games are known for over the top and shallow gameplay, while satisfying..it isn't long lasting. BESIDES the earlier footage done by konami looked beter. Now as for STORY, we already know it'll suck and won't have that same MG profound theme to it. THIS is where the hate, IMO is coming from.

So sick of Chris Redfield. Guys persona, look, everything just doesn't fit the Resident Evil universe anymore. He was best as a quiet marksmen. That being said, the split story isn't something i fancy much, could work..but we shall see.
Capcom need to ditch the tiresome mercenary/action side. Go back to RE4 style of environments and pace. RE5 was a complete mistake so learn from it CAPCOM!

Downpour, IMO is the best survival horror this generation, some of the best puzzles and immersive environments I've seen. Not to mention the scares in certain parts of the game. It's very tension field at moments.
The game relies on escaping and rarely using weapons, a true survival horror concerning limitations, etc. something we haven't seen in awhile.

No it wasn't, it was about exploration, atmosphere and puzzles...all done using a slower paced gameplay to further have u soak up the RE universe. If anything Silent Hill downpour is the perfect example. Which is the only game that seems to stay true to what it does best.
Capcom are money hungry and are now targeting casuals and the COD fans..hence there joke of DLC system.
While story will be great, the game itself will be linear, action packed with lit...

If you're a silent Hill fan, definetely PLAY IT. The game is incredible and has some of the best level designs/puzzles. Story-wise it's everything one should expect from silent Hill.
