NO, these are just reviews by fans who still can't comprehend the changes the franchise has seen. Re has been action/horror since 2005...if that can't sink in for them, then they should give up on the franchise and start seeing what the game is trying to do instead. For what it is, Resident Evil 6 is a solid title with great mechanics, IMO. People can't seem to look beyond the lacking of survival horror and simply judge it heavily based off that....nastaliga's a bitch, but so ...
That a fucking joke? How does a score determine it's genre, lol?
Downpour is the closest it got to it's original roots of survival horror elements, and atmosphere/puzzles.
Stop being so fucking nostalgic. With it being another generation you cannot expect a fucking clone of broken camera's and controls which both SH2 and veronica had, if that is indeed what you're implying here.
It's the best one in the franchise.
Using the word troll, because everyone else does...yet not knowing the meaning, priceless.
RE2/4's controls were NOT considered broken for it's TIME...as of now, they're considered DATED, mainly because of the stop and shoot gameplay/camera...back in 1999 many games were using fixed camera's and the same style of gameplay, which was acceptable. Even NOW RE4 is rather enjoyable and perfect paced in terms of camera and movement, unlike RE6's horrid camera-c...
thats fine, but the camera sensitivity and view alters the satisfaction of what could have been a good melee system. It's too close and it easily makes one dizzy and uncomfortable. THe combat also appears too heavy, in conjunction with the quickness of the camera at times, even when adjusted..at least to me, doesn't feel right. I don't know what capcom have done here..seriously. Don't get me started on the cover system...the game truly feels like a broken gears of war.
And what a waste it is. How does one go from RE4 to RE6? Knowing the backlash and knowing the complaints. RE6 is literally unplayable game play-wise. The close up of the camera was designed to keep tension of not knowing what was around you? Capcom can't be fucking serious...everything is painfully broken, not to mention their mentality of the genre. The franchise needs a serious reboot.
Looks like Splinter Cell Chaos theory in HD, Kojima finally caught up, especially concerning realistic animation/movement system.
yep and here we have dem haters.
Have u even played the game? (demo?) as always, you're the type of gamers that speak too soon and enjoy it once it's out.
That being said, the game EVOLVED! it headed in such a direction due to a design that just wasn't working anymore and a genre that was simply dying, hence the sales. Gamers just can't make up their minds and simply go in blinded nostalgically. That over the top action and explosions was even...
9/10 at least...come on.
It will be...trust me.
they are NOT zombies.
WE? and How was downpour a mess? it's the only recent SH to go back to the great atmosphere, puzzles and characters...Not to mention the gameplay was actually solid and felt balanced to that of the classic SH limited feel. Have you even played the game or just watched footages?
Did he say RE6 is unique? learn to read before attacking. It piggy backs nothing considering past RE games for gamecube, especially RE4.
First of all, get over yourself. Second, let go of the hate..it's well acknowledged and predictable now, it won't get you likes or agreements. Capcom did what they had to to stay FINANCIALLY afloat...AT THE TIME.
Move on, dude.
lol @ the kids above me.
So original.
Just try and enjoy the game.
I still fail to see the POINT of his career...
Those minor changes impact the overall look of the game, I'm mainly referring to CINEMATICS, which the director of the game (twin snakes) went a little OVER board and didn't really REPRESENT Solid snake very well or to Hideo's Vision. Since HIS version was already done, he didn't think too much of twin snakes, but just a nice graphical update and to pay homage somewhat to past MG games that debuted on a Nintento system, etc.
Love the game, once you nail down the learning curve/mechanics it's fun as hell. Cry babies should play it on pro = SURVIVAL HORROR, YO!
