How come no one complained when DVDs used to cost so much, for example I still have a DVD player that still works and it cost $2300. Now I'm still keeping it so I can stick in a electronics history exhibit in the future, maybe.

Empire: Total War is a very good game and it makes more high PCs cry than did Crysis did when it first came out. Now I have to drop another $900 to update my graphic cards and RAM chips to play this game to the max.

What happened to Star Ocean IV? Also I can't wait for my FFVII:PS3, I know I'm not alone so I wouldn't be surprised if more than 75,000 PS3s are sold that week because of this special edition by itself.

Deutsche Bank is slow, I already sold all my shares in Jan after the explosive sale of Wiis in December and after seeing the huge drop in Jan. Come on Deutsche Bank, gotta maximize returns!

Atleast the Myst series tried to evolve but it wasn't very successful by the fifth iteration. But I still play the music!

@Eagle 21

I'm going to get this game on my PC because the first ran so much better on my PC than on my Xbox 360. But I do agree with you, not everyone can afford to spend $3800 building a PC tower to edit graphics with.

There is a big difference between what the Xbox360 can handle compared to a PC and there is a big difference in how they process data. For example the world generator wasn't very good with textures being very flat on the Xbox 360 when compared to the ...

@Philip J Fry

Technically not really and especially at the price the PS3 is, if you look at my comment on the same page my computer can only decode, playback, trace, and cache 8 480p videos at the same time while the PS3 can do 48 at the same time is a big difference.

I built my computer for graphic design and programming two years ago, I build a new one every two years and the one I'm currently using cost me $3300 to make.

@fishd

My main computer can only do 8 at the same time before it becomes unhealthy for the system to do anymore without me crashing the whole system. Which is still good because I built this graphic design rig two years ago and it wasn't able to play Empires: Total War at the max settings.

I still haven't seen anyone beat the PS2 vibrator, look it up it came out in Japan!

I have the special edition red X360 myself, but I'm never going to use it. Do people like me play a role in their statistics?

Doesn't Canadians come down to see us in the United States, come on your advertising is pale in comparison to ours in the states. You should've seen the Fallout 3 ads plastered all over Washington D.C.

@Gun Senshi

Listen to "The Instance Podcast" and look for the episode marked special tribute. If you haven't gotten that close or enjoyed the time of being around certain people than you are in no position to lower generalize other people as mere pawns. I've played with this Australian and another an Irish far longer than anyone else on my friend's list.

I'm an American so finding if anything happened to them will be really hard and for those that know wha...

After reading all the comments, gotta love it no one is even defending the Wii. Don't look at me I'm not going to defend, just clean the dust off my machine from time to time but not playing it.

Too busy with Halo Wars, Crystal Defenders, Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter 4, Phantasy Star Online, and Killzone 2.

Well bad things can happen if you cluster too many PS3s together, it only took 20 PS3s to crack the 256mb coding that is used to secure credit card transactions through the internet.

@Soda

The PS3 only consumes by average 178-189 watts, that spread is caused from the differences of it being on idle, movie playback, game playing, and folding@home. Which is really great for the power and usability it provides.

My main server uses 600 watts per a tower (4...

They (Microsoft) should've fought just based on principle alone, how can this low company sue about a game and console that came out in 2001! This is nothing but a slippery slope....

How are they patenting this tech now? Bored programmers was ray-tracing with the PS3 back in 2005. A separate programmer even used the Cell Processor alone to ray-trace an entire city scape, just using mathematical equations.

If Caustic Graphics can make this happen then I can use the number cruncher the CPU to make polygons and physics at the same time; thus allowing the GPU to do nothing but texture and filtering. This is going to be very interesting!

I guess if the Federal government can say screw it with the constitution than I guess the state governments think that they can too.
