Remember when Sony debuted the PSP Go at $250?
Yeah, I laughed a bit too.
Really? I didn't think it was THAT much of a downgrade.

Nothing an OC or a pre-factory clock can't fix. But I do agree that even if that was the case, paying $110-$120 isn't worth a simple DX11 upgrade. Especially since DX11 games would stress the GPU even more. I was just surprised that GTX 460 wasn't up to the GTX 285. Afraid I h...
Well if you need a card to hold you over in the DX11 world: you can get GTX 460s for $110-$130 now and those cards are perfectly capable of handling DX11 games at Max considering you have AF+AA off and gaming below 16x10.
I call BS on those shots.
It's hard to gauge the difference between DX9 and DX11 when the differences are so minor. We know that Tessellation is merely allowing a higher complex geometry with reduced GPU cycles, but we're not going to be able to tell that from a texture-bump: which any DX9-able game can do.
Higher-rez textures isn't dependent on the Code-path but developer choice. Whether or not DX11 uses higher-rez isn't the selling point of ...
Going by the article, Remedy would put out a PC Version if they could. But then Microsoft signs a deal and that goes out the window. If you want to blame anyone, blame Microsoft and business politics screwing gamers because of obedience to the almighty dollar.
Haha, Sony and Microsoft are both on the same failboat. As well as other publishers like EA and Ubisoft. If you want to try your console bullshit on PC: prepare to be greeted with such bullshit. Bullshit not limited to shit mouse-acceleration, fucked up macros, and fucking letterbox format because your game doesn't support all the 16:10 resolutions like any traditional PC game should. Overall, an obvious console port.
Oh and charging $60 for a game on PC. There's abs...
I am definitely going to wait next-gen. This-gen has just been awful for me. I found myself playing my PC more than ever since Sony/Microsoft likes to clamp down on everything. I hate not having the freedom to do the things on PC I can't do on consoles.
That and I don't feel like paying $600 for a paperweight with NO GAEMZ ever again. I learned my mistake. I also learned my mistake of paying for a console that DIED 4 TIMES.
PS3 Fanboys flip-flop so easily it's amazing they don't snap their own necks in the process.
Remember when Bleszenski blog'd about buying Killzone 3? lol remember artibur?
Yes War has changed....
Did it?
Exactly, people should chill the fuck out. It's like they never read the article and auto-engaged "Sony-defense mode" based on the title. Or better yet, let some journalist take some quotes and put it out of context.
Oh wait.... Sony fanboys are trolled pretty easily. The proof is right here in the comments.
Probably not, unless you count picture books.
I just hope there are no games that require my move controller to be close to my mouth ;)
-Zing!
The difference is that this "outspoken kid" is the design director at a very prestigious game company with a high track record of games. Meanwhile you're just a kid behind a keyboard.
Let that one sink in a bit.
EDIT: haha, looks like some keyboard kids took offense to that fact!
Ah Way of the Samurai...
The OG of what would eventually become Mass Effect. Respect your elders bitches. Funny as I preferred the original WotS over the sequels: there was a charm in it...and to think it fitted all on a CD.
Why do devs need to work hard when casual gamers are already satisfied with their pickings? If you reward devs to push the limits, we'll see more devs try and strike for innovation. We reward stagnation: we get sequels and CoD.
That being, I plan to get The Witcher 2. The tech for that game looks absolutely insane. The guys at 4A Games would be proud that there's a game other than Metro 2033 that can make PCs bleed.
It'll never come to that unless you're willing to pay the same price as a top of the line PC. But then why would you settle for a console when a PC is more robust in features, backwards compatibility and multiple ways to play?
Interesting stance, but his views only reinforces the push toward an online-only gaming world. And I really don't feel like keeping all my systems connected to the internet 100% just to even get past the menu screen. Probably isn't what he's trying to say, but it sure feels that way.
Last thing I really want is all my games being tethered.
Really now? BF2 > ArmA2?
C'mon....I stopped playing BF2 in 2008 and still play BF 2142 to this day, but you have to admit that the scope of BF2 is enclosed to a sizable map, which is cool. When you play ArmA, or the original OFP: you have an entire island to play with and Ops take hours to play through.
I like BF2 as much as any other guy who watched "Mine" back in 2006 and the Dophine dive technique IMO, originated in BF2. But there's a...
I think the journalists accidentally mispelled ArmA 2.

ArmA 2 is the game for Grown-Ups. All Military shooters before ArmA 2 is foreplay...
Pretty much this.
But then again, being bought by EA didn't do any favors either. And to be fair, Bethesda has their own share of milkings with Fallout 3.
