What a great time to be a PS360 owner. :)
Seriously dude, What the ****?! That's a bit too creative for my tastes, even as a joke.
Yes! Someone gets it! Don't support mandatory installs!
Support installs that help improve stability and shorten load times!
Not if Microsoft leaked it themselves. You never know.
legally, users that illegally downloaded the NXE Preview Build have no legal standing because it's been documented that NXE's Preview Program is only open to those registered. Anyone else is forbidden to use NXE until the 19th. That said, the files are on the internet and redistributed by an unauthorized source. When you download, you illegally do it under the NXE Preview Program because you're not an authorized user. Dark's got a point in the legal department, by which those illegal users ha...
That's true and I will concede to that. While I do think that the ability for people like us, outside the NXE Program are able to acquire the files is considered piracy.
I don't think Microsoft will do anything in this case because this can be considered a good thing for good publicity. I predict the media will come down hard on Microsoft if they choose to ban 360s that's using preview builds because you don't need a modded console to update to the new NXE. It's as simple as putt...
What does the article state that we don't know already? Microsoft may or may not choose to ban those on the preview build, but unlike the situation of stereotypical pirates; alot of legitimate boxes are also updated as well. I bet if Microsoft does go through with this, there will be very angry calls from legit users that calls foul for basically wanting to try it out early.
I don't understand how the article can even draw the conclusion of "banning pirates" when in fac...
always a good laugh
What? It's released already?! Wow...I just bought a Q6600 3 days ago too.
(UPDATE) I want to set some ground-info for you guys out there. While the Core i7 is impressive. I wouldn't go off to buy one at your local retailer/e-tailer so soon. Even though Virtualization allows for 8 threads now, in our age, barely 2 threads are even used for CPU processing. Very few games offer multithreaded support, and even fewer games offer full quad core support. The most we get sits around 1.5 ...
That's a good thing for gamers all around. The 360 version looks brighter, but nothing you can't fix with some TV adjustments.
The only way anyone can get their hands on your PSN login is if you're dumb enough to give it away or Sony Customer support ****s up, which they rarely do. There's no "hacking" involved. Just stupid people. Unless someone wants to try and DDoS the entire PSN network, they're SOL on that attempt.
P.S. - This is also why I always delete my credit-info after a purchase.
The load times didn't bother me cause I'm used to it since most RPGs take about that long to load as well. I said it in the last post regarding NXE that Lost Odyssey definitely got a 40%-50% improvement thanks to the HDD. And I definitely love playing it like that.
OFF-TOPIC: Who's the idiot that puts only Sed in front? Kaim should be in front as well as well as Seth, especially during the Immortal One. I know in the 2nd test, all 3 are in front, but damn. You'd have to be just p...
Stopped reading at "blog."
The specific reason that Blu-Ray and HD-DVD ever existed in the first place was to migrate towards the blue laser. Blue light has a shorter wavelength, therefore it is able to create bumps at larger microscopic levels and allows for more data to be written overall. I don't buy this RDM because in order to circumvent the bottleneck that is red-light, you'd have to either...
A. Re-create the way that discs are "burned"
B. Invent an entirely new material used to make...
Decreased risk of RRoD, is increased risk of HDD-Failure. Take your pick. I
ll personally go with the latter cause...
A. I always backup my saves
B. I can swap out my HDD on the cheap.
I'm playing Fable 2 right now w/ NXE and it improves nothing. The load times feel the same, but the texture pop in is less. But graphic-wise, nothing is comparable in this case. Both look the same.
I agree with aebriscoejr, 1st-2nd Parties the ones that are keeping the PS3 afloat, and the best part is that 360 1st parties has nothing on the PS3's 1st Parties. Need I remind anyone about Uncharted? What about Resistance 2? Or LittleBigPlanet? And there's 2009's Killzone 2 as well. Sony brings the games that no other console can do. I think I've made my point. Let's not forget about the past-exclusives now.
You can't hate Microsoft for pulling out their checkbook for multiplats because that's just the nature of competition. 360 owners win and PS3 owners lose. If we want to see it fairly, Sony's going to have to bust out their checkbooks. However we know that's mostly never the case. We Ps3 owners can cry and moan about how Microsoft's stealing all our exclusives, but you know what? It's just business.
I'm glad I own both consoles because I enjoy the best of everything. I don't endor...
Of course not, why would it? Cache only clears game-data, not the main OS. If you want to wipe your main OS, reformat your HDD on the PC using XSATA or tearing it apart and attaching the appropriate cables to reformat the Dashboard to the Blades and get back on Xbox Live.
Unfortunately I have to disagree. Modded Controllers are fair game. Just like one team having better headsets than the other team. In the end, it's what your skills bring to the table and how you use them that determines the win. It's not like in reality where you call foul play when the other team decides to use nukes right? It's the old saying "all's fair in love and war"
I don't condone using modded controllers, but I don't oppose them either. If someone pulls a modd...
