Dumb article. That's like saying should Bayonetta 2, and 3, or even Pokemon, Smash Bros, Mario, Zelda, and Metroid Prime 4 for that matter should be on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. They won't and never will, because they are exclusive and are properties of Nintendo. Just like Spider-Man, God of War, The Last of Us, Bloodborne, and Horizon: Zero Dawn are properties of Sony.

If you're hoping for a Switch 2 already then you probably have to wait a little longer more until the Switch reaches its ending lifespan, unless you mean you want a Switch revision with better hardware. That will probably be the case around 2020-2021.

I seriously hope the guys from HAL Laboratory including Sakurai are not considering adding shoenen anime characters like Goku in. Please don't. There are plenty of Nintendo and some third party characters I'd like to see appearing in the roster before turning Smash into a non-video game chaotic fighting fist by adding him, Frieza, Ichigo, Naruto, Shrek, Darth Vader, Spongebob, Jimmy Neutron, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Jack Sparrow, James Bond, Ronald McDonald,etc.
Eh, I don't mind third party characters to join in like Megaman (Seriously, I hope he's in again) Sonic, Solid Snake, Amaterasu (Okami) Ryu, Cloud or even Sora, but Goku? He's not even a video game character in the first place. I can see why people wants him in but no, keep him out and just stick to video game characters.

It has already surpassed Wii U's lifetime sales, it's very likely it will surpass N64 and NGC lifetime sales as well, as the Switch is still selling well to this day. A new super smash bros game will guarantee a huge boost, and a new mainline Pokémon game title will better the sales given the fact that mainline Pokémon title tend to sell +10M unites.
