this is looking like the greatest year yet for the PSP. Rumours of the PSP 4000, strong first party support, increasing third party support, rumoured new IP and more games at E3. I know i for one will be buying a ton of PSP games this year, hopefully lots of other people will do the same so we can keep getting quality games.

I personally can't see how Sony would think it would a good idea to remove the UMD drive on a device that is still the PSP and not the PSP2. I have a PSP 2000 with 14 games. So let's say i upgrade from the 2000 to the 4000 unit, my 14 PSP games would then not work despite it still being a PSP. I fail to see how that would be beneficial.

X360s are on sale at Futureshop and Best Buy in Canada as well this week. I don't know if it's a Microsoft-driven sale (like Microsoft said they would compensate the retailers for the sale or something) but it's ironic that it's also starting on the same day Killzone 2 drops.

For EA:

- NBA Live 09 is 39.99
- Mercenaries 2 and Monopoly are 29.99.
For Activision:
- Call of Duty 5, Call of Duty 4, Spiderman: Web Of Shadows, Quantum of Solace and Guitar Hero: World Tour all increased from 59.99 to 69.99

people do care about the PSP, myself being one of them. Just because you don't care doesn't mean no one does.
well your blog is a bit hard to read but it makes an excellent point. i think there will always be fanboys, just as there is in many other things (sports for example), but i know that i will just play games because they're fun.

games like Medal Of Honor, Skate, Shaun White Snowboarding, The Godfather and Blazing Angels might be top Wii games, but they would not be near the top 20 games on the PS3 or X360. And graphics are important, as is physics. If i spent upwards of 2 grand on my home theater system i'd like to have a system that at least takes advantage of it.
