Sony is actually fine with this and allows it for many games already. Only MS is in that rivalry state not allowing cross platform play.
If a dev decides to allow it PS4, PS3, PS Vita and PC gamers can share servers and play together. FF14 A Realm Reborn, DCU online, PS All Stars are all examples of this and it's been stated numerous times. Only MS is against it.
2. is already implemented in PS4 games via the controller touchpad, light bar and speaker.
I just found out today that Tomb Raider Definitive Edition makes a lot of use of the controllers unique features: Glow different colors when you're hold a torch, cracking noises when you step on/break branches, trigger sounds as well.

2 minutes is still a hell of a lot faster than downloading a game. The point is it works. Playstation games are being streamed and it's working in Average Joe Consumer homes.

This is a phone game though and it looks like it, they're going to have to really upgrade the character models in the console version before I take notice.
I'd pass up a free version of this game in its current build.
It's weird, the environments look pretty good but the character an enemy models look really cheap/low quality.
I still might check it out it's it's really cheap thought but I suspect there will be a lot more games to chose from worth my interest by nov 2014.

I'm sure more clever uses of the camera have been thought up and implemented than this. The Playroom itself is better, like waaay better.

The problem with emulation is that Sony isn't making a profit off of it, well for the most part.
They might sell the emulator as a PS4 app and make a profit.
They might sell a few more PS4s by advertising the fact that it has PS2 emulation.
I'm not sure this is going to happen but that patent for automatically integrating trophies in to games that don't have them (like ps2 games) helps the argument.

Wtf, I notice all those damn jaggies waaaaay faster than frames rate being under 60. In fact they'd have to fall below 25fps for me to even notice.
Every single thin line in the distance looks like stairs in 720p upscaled games. All the textures looks slightly muddy in comparison to 1080p native.
I would always, in every instance, prefer 1080 at 30fps over 720 at 60fps.
What would be nice is if game devs gave us the choice of resolutions ...

The PS4 has waaaay more games than the X1 in total (exclusive, console exclusive, multiplatform) so it's failed logic from the both of you.
