They said at the sony conference that "All psp games from this point on (or upon release of the go) will be released digitally as well as on UMD." So Im about %99.9 positive a hit franchise like Monster Hunter will make its way to the digital store. They might even be cheaper than tangible disc, but i doubt it. I also think this, adding psp more games to the store, is part of the reason it isn't releasing sooner. Along with production time.

On the 32in tvs they will NOT play any 1080p signal through HDMI or VGA, Period. Will not at all. But with a component cable, viola! "1080p" on tvs that supposedly only support as high as 1080i/720p

Anyways, i think it looks strange to integrate cut-scenes for your characters special moves that look WAY better than the in game models.
You get this really nice looking cut-scene (that i dont see why couldn't be in-game) and then it cuts back to your average, almost ps2 looking, character. The in-game characters are too bright too, they look almost transparent.
That, or an MMO, a platformer, a story-based action adventure game.
Anything really, we've seen this as a fighting game often enough and if they want to keep it as a fighting game they need to do SOMETHING new.
Geez, they really could just completely copy Naruto Ninja Storm, make sure it's online (bad move naruto) and has more than one town/city (village for naruto) and they'd be set.
I really wanted this game this year and they had already claimed a fall/winter release like last month.
In know not everyone has the internet but damn, a free dlc + patch would have looked better than a delay anyways. We ALL love seeing fre DLC on PSN so they screwed up with deciding to put it on the disc and release it later.
Patching the games problems on the disc was a fine idea though but the free content could've been on the store.

I am NOT talking about video restrictions i am talking about the ACTUAL QUALITY of 1080p video produced through a component cable. It is downgraded and no where near the visual quality of HDMI, VGA or DVI. If it's quality is not the same then how can it be on the same level?

Im not saying it does not work, im saying it's a facade, fake, untrue, not what is to be expected. It produces a picture but the quality of that picture is questionable.

component does not due true 1080p, the difference is more than obvious when you compare its 1080p output to HDMI, DVI or VGA. The picture quality is MUCH lower. It looks like 720p plain and simple.
I suspect that it's bitrate is simply lowered in comparison to the others and thats what causes it's lower looking video quality so by that probability it DOES do it but just not worth claiming.

The absolute ONLY reason not to believe this is the fact that it wasn't mentioned while the head dude was on M$ stage during their conference.
Why wouldn't he spend the extra 5 seconds to say "and it's running at 60fps and Full 1080p!" ? maybe he just forgot to and if it does turn out to be upscaled it will be outted as such upon it's release by some tech head.

Well it was OBVIOUS downplay by reviewers because of it being a $40 sample/demo. Had it been, say $15 at launch those reviews would be through the roof.
The comparison is pointless anyway, lets see what the Official GT5 actually gets. It might not even beat whatever Forza 3 gets (i hear it's customization is top-notch so...)...
