@Tompkins the pricing is all rumour at the moment, they havent announced a price, not sure where you are getting the £150 from, ive not seen any of the uk online retailers put a speculative price on Kinect at the moment.
Manufacturing costs are estimates that someone has tried to guess at using some knowledge, And as production ramps up costs will come down, an earlier article allready pointed out that MS wouldn't be ramping up production until next year.

@ 1.1.4 Sony didnt make the first console to use a CD drive, the Commodore CDTV, and Amiga CD32 both used a CD drive for their games.

yes MS do copy, they copied, Live from PSN, they copied achievements from Sony's trophies, they copied Cross game chat from Sony's upcoming cross game chat (sometime), they copied Sony by adding in a HDD ito the original Xbox, they copied Sony by providing online MP just like Sony did first. SONY are now engaged in a 3 way battle, trying to belittle the competition at every corner. Trying to discredit Microsoft and Kinect during their E3 conference, Attacking the iPhone in one of their ads and now saying handheld 3D (aimed at Nintendo) is not very good.
All comments ive seen on the Nintendo 3DS say positive things about it and that it looks great and works.
Iphone is here to stay and has far better games than the one used in the commercial, try comparing ...

The Kinect controller requires power to work, i would imagine that the USB ports on the current model 360's dont supply enough power for the purpose which is why you need to plug it into the mains, to draw enough power. And the Kinect DOES plug into the older 360's into the standard USB socket.

yes that is true in a sense. However the users that this is aimed at, the more casual gamer, mom and pops etc may not be aware when buying this bundle and going home with a few games to only find out they cant play all of the games they just bought due to not having purchased the secondary move controller or the navigator. This will just lead to frustration and paint it with a negative image, which is not what they need.
