Rubbish. I'm using mine in a smallish room with 6 feet between myself and the sensor and it works fine. And unlike yourself I have a few of the games to actually try. Sports, your shape, kinectimals and adventures and not once has it complained about the space. Each game is great fun to play, particularly kinect sports especially when played online.

The map is a disaster, played on it yesterday and was killed several times over when respawing. Due to someone having a helicopter petrk over the spawn point raking it with fire. Couldnt even move a few yards before i died. Then once the helo finished out came a gunship that carried on the same way, eventually quit out the game
perhaps MS are continuing to build more and move as many into the retail chain as possible to capitalise on the initial interest from the public.

yet its not a failure, as it works as intended. I have it, am using it, and am enjoying it, as are the other people i know who have it.

Just ignore all the non gamers on here and the PS3 only trolls. People are buying Kinect, people are enjoying Kinect. Its a nice piece of kit that works well and allows the real gamers to get a different kind of experience from the usual games we play.
It doesnt replace our FPT / TPS, RPG and strategy games we all love, it just gives us another way to interact and play games.

I got the Code card when i picked up my Kinect from Game ( UK ), as did the other people in the queue get one. It let you download 3 extra levels for kinect adventure. 2 for rallyball and 1 for river raft.
I'm enjoying kinect just fine thanks as are the other people I know who purchased one.
Both kinect and move are great bits of kit and each can add to their respective platforms, hopefully growing the business for both companies and gaming as a whole.

Fast movement mars both controls. Have you ever used the Move controller in a game and moved it quite fast about, the PS3 loses track of it and all calibration is lost. You then need to recalibrate it.
Go ahead try it yourselves, go into a game, and wave it about fairly fast from side to side.

the PS move is a great bit of kit. More quality games needed though.
As for the numbers, they are hard to tack exactly whats going on with them as you require more than 1 for some games to play fully and you also need more than one for multiplayer. There may be 1 million shipped in the States but that doesnt translate to 1 million actual buyers.
Ive just watched it being played in a Game store. And the lag is nowhere near what people claim it to be, at least in the game being played.
Yes some games will be crap and poorly programmed just like with every other gaming genre and platform out there, however there will also be the good games as well that are worth playing.
And the potential that the device shows for future games is exciting and interesting.
