I have just ordered my Samsung 46" flat panel 1080p lcd for $2,500 shipped which is $1000 less than its release earlier this year. Cant wait to get it. As far as a 42" lcd for $999, they must be talking about a 720p version.
When I called MS support for my 360 I spoke with someone that spoke perfect english and was very helpfull.
I'm not surprised by this because EA are a bunch of lazy bastards that rely on brand recognition to sell their games. This is very much apparent in thier Madden series. 2K made a better NFL football game so they just get rid of the competition and monopolize the NFL license. Every year is a rehashed version of the same crap with a few more features and slightly improved graphics.

There is no way that remote went thought the tv. they whould have needed a hammer to band though that frame. I have thrown remotes at tv's before and beleive me the TV has always won with the romte being left in multiple pieces on the ground, lol
They will sell 2-3 Million this month. My estimate is that they will sell 10.5 million by January 1st. Everyone is out shopping for christmas gives right now. And by december 20th the procrastinators will be shopping like mad picking up gifts at the last moment. Which is what i do every year and it sucks btw. Either way its pretty easy to sell as many consols as you want when your the only one readily on the shelf for the next 3 months.

People still play xbox games on their 360? I tried playing HL2 and the grapjics got me sick.
I really dont see anything special about the commercial. It may have shown a few new assests of the game but it was all done in CG. Reading from people previous comments they are all amazing with this commercial. I'm sorry i'm an xbox fan but I dont see how the commercial really gets me any more excited about the game that i already was previously. I rather see real in game footage and see what it really has in store visually and gameplay wise, and not just some create CG movie.

That Gears Of War is the first next gen game is a load of shyt. It is the best game on the 360 but there have been alot of games that have been released that are not possible on previous consols.
Perfect Dark Zero looked pretty damn good especially for a launch title. That was not one of its weak points. The AI and crappy story and dialog kept the game from greatness.
about the snow in Resistance, its graphics are really nothing special or revolutionary. Why even compare that game to this? Lost Planet totally looks better in all aspects
You dont want 1080p resolution. If you were to buy a 1080p plasma you would need to sell a kidney. From what i have read the plasma's picture degrades alot faster than lcd does. Not to mention from reading latest reviews on samsung and sony's latest lcd flat panels, they seem to give plasma a run for its money.
