Once again, the most important part of kinect is its potential. I'm starting to get annoyed with the talk abour potential, it's kinects greatest selling point. Articles that don't mention potential grade it as good, which is good for microsoft. Ones that talk of it potential grade it much higher.
Core gamers want action from microsoft proving this accessory will do as microsoft have bragged for years, not more talk, smoke and mirrors.
The most positive comments for kinect is always about the potential. The potential of the Wii isn't what made it successfull, it was word of mouth, simplicity and a good pack in game. People in the casual press seem to like kinect, but will it resonate with casuals without serious core gamers support?
They aren't going to have a "release date" now, they're going to print the discs and ship them to stores asap.
