I don't like the price hike but that is not a monopolistic tactic. They know that people will pay more because it is a popular franchise. They would have to be releasing a large majority of the games and then hike the price on all of them for it to be considered monopolistic.
Then sell it for $30 on ebay and buy it back in a year for $20.
It is a bit bizarre though how the price hikes keep happening in Europe. When I buy games, I play them real quick and then sell them on ebay. When I want to replay it a year later, I just buy it on ebay, and in the end save money.

Nobody patented it even though they used it because nobody thought that you could patent it. Microsoft's army of lawyers say otherwise and now Microsoft has the power to say who can use this feature. RIDICULOUS! This is idiotic as the in game music patent.

Problem is Sony is not a giant a** patenting everything in sight that's not an invention and Microsoft patents it with the hope that nobody will bring them to court.
