Article is wrong, DF didn't admit to botching the captures:
Did a Digital Foundry employee admit that you botched the captures?
New freelancer John Linneman made comments online suggesting that the workflow was in error and that there wasn't time to correct it. We love John, but he wasn't privy to the workflow of last week's events, nor involved in any of the internal discussions we had. While his heart was in the right place, his post doesn't acc...
I didn't think they had confirmed PS4 to Vita streaming over the internet, thought it was only over local Wi-Fi...
Yesssssss
I believe so, yeah. The extras are just part of the "Special Edition" which as far as I can tell is simply the first run of the game at Gamestop.
This game is really interesting, an indie's take on Silent Hill crossed with the old LucasArts adventure games. Bizarre and unsettling, exactly what I want in a survival horror game.
Some people feel trophy notifications break immersion in certain games. That is why Heavy Rain only gave you trophies after you completed a level, as opposed to mid-mission. Lone Survivor straight up tells you to turn off trophies when you start the game, in order to not break the sense of immersion.
It doesn't actually remove the games from your profile, so they are going to still show up on sites like PSNprofiles.com.
This really is an awesome game on the Vita. Perfect for short bursts and the cross-play between PS3 and Vita versions are fun. Especially since you get both versions with cross-buy and can immediately start playing between the two consoles.
I've been playing the hell out of the game and as much as I enjoy it, there is a lot of work that needs to be done. Besides things like balancing exp/money rewards, the UI in particular needs major work. I shouldn't have to sit at the Crimenet screen for 5 minutes, just waiting for the game to randomly spawn the missions that my team wants.
Yeah, the title and blurb all reek of hyperbole. I didn't really see any site talk about the game outside of the context of 'Hey, it's an Xbone exclusive.'
I think the difficulty issue was one of the lesser problems to the reviewer...
Sucks that it won't be Mirrors Edge 2 -- that is a Kinect game now. :(
I like how they canceled all E3 press interviews with their executives just a couple hours before publishing this. Pretty much shows that even Microsoft knows this is going to be unpopular and the executives don't want to be raked over the coals by the media because of it.

Nope.
Best part of D2 was how when you got a good grasp of the controls, you felt like a bladed storm of death whenever you went into combat.
Been a while since I felt that powerful in a FPS, walk into a room and everything explodes into limbs and pain and screams.
It was too short and story wasn't as good as the first one though. Also, I didn't think the new art style worked that well. I know it was suppose to be comicbook esque, but the first one succeede...
Hah, he always sounded like a total douche and hey -- turns out he looks like one too!
Hope they fix it soon, been waiting to play P3 since I got my Vita. The idea of an HD patapon on the Vita/PS3 is drool worthy, but in the meantime I want my pata-pata-pon!
Hah! Well apologies then, though personally I'd still consider toning down the references to it. Being the CEO and introducing yourself as the CEO constantly are a bit different. Honestly it's just meant to be constructive feedback. I wrote for Joystiq for years and have worked on and off on my own sites, and I know how hard it can be.
Thanks for the measured response though, always like to see a bit of civility on N4G. :)
Hah, CEO? Seriously? Most people who run their own small to moderate sized videogame news sites just call themselves Editors, or maybe EIC if they're feeling particularly big about themselves.
Introducing yourself as CEO all the time makes it difficult to take your site seriously. Especially when you follow it up with your handle, a reference to a hentai series. Though maybe you're going for a self-deprecating sense of humor? Like going 'I AM THE ABSOLUTE KING OF ...
The game isn't perfect, but it is absolutely not a 3/10. More like a 7.5-8. It's a very competent metroidvania game limited by a crappy map and a few bugs.
3/10 is a broken game, DT is just being cranky. Isn't that the same score they gave Origins on the consoles? Again, that game isn't amazing but its perfectly competent.
