My thoughts on whats is wrong with the gaming industry is two fold.
1. They see millions of people playing these free Facebook games or cheap Phone App games and want that market, they think by dumbing down their games they are just going to get those folks to buy their products.
The thing is those people just want a few minutes of mindless distractions, (please don't take that as an isult if you play those games that is not how it was intended) they want...
"If you made the claim that Microsoft was flogging a dead horse by deciding to do Gears of War: Judgement, you wouldn’t be 100% correct."
No you would be 100% incorrect because Microsoft doesn't own the Gears I.P., Epic does and THEY decided to do GOW:J
As for the rest (IMO) GOW:J is a slightly beefier Add on pack at best.
I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just saying there isn't a whole lot of content there for 60 bo...
Not needed, it comes early enough in the game.
I guess as long as people keep buying early unlocks DEVS will keep coming up with new and creative ways to try and take our money.
I don't think people are so much complaining about the additional characters, the real complaint is having to pay for a level cap increase that should have been included in the game to begin with and being told there is a pretty significant DLC coming that we have to pay for BEFORE the supposed last piece of season pass DLC comes out, I'm sorry THAT is a blatant money grab.
I've yet to finish Revelations or even pop the wrapper on part 3, I'm getting a little burned out by the AC games.
Not only that there is rumor of another DLC outside of the season pass that will be released BEFORE the last piece of the season pass....UMM WUT?
How do we know this next piece wasn't originally part of the season pass and you are just reaching into my pocket again?
I have to say at the past couple of years some real trusted names in the industry have really disappointed me with their lack of content and blatant money grabs.
This makes complete sense on why everyone is jumping ship now.
Can someone PLEASE tell me why these lame "gold key" shift codes are still news?
They are a dime a dozen and unlock utter crap.
Well said and sums it up perfectly.
I will say this, I thoroughly enjoyed the game as a whole but I will never, EVER buy a game in pieces again.
Telltale was horrible about getting each piece out as promised, waiting almost 2 months on an episode was unacceptable, I'm not saying I won't ever play one again, I'll just play it when it's fully released.
So in short I'll say No, episodic gaming is not the future, at lease not in mine.
I'd like to see the stealth and evade portion improved a bit. I don't know how many times the enemy saw me when they should't have, especially when i used a silent weapon and then no matter where i would disappear and re-appear to they always knew where I was.
So sick of people griping about the Microtransactions, here is a hint for your people, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY THEM!!!!
They just give you a bit of a boost in the beginning of the game IF you choose to buy them.
I beat the game the other day and by the time I got to the end I had everything I needed/wanted so if you go the Microtransactions route you just get thing a bit quicker, stop making such a big deal out of nothing, NO ONE is forcing you to buy ANYTH...
I'll survive by not buying it.
Assassins of the Caribbean? Oh joy....
Exactly, I don't understand way some folks are still freaking out over getting these "great keys", they give crap loot.
In 2011 I bought about 25 games new 1/2 of them were crap, 1/4 were too short, the other 1/4 were good to great, some of them I'm still playing.
In 2012 I bought less than half of what I did in 2012 because I was trying to be a little more choosy what I dropped $60.00+ on and half of them turned out to be crap
Bottom line if games jump to $70.00 I'll probably cut it in half again.
Does anyone really care anymore?
Best news I've heard all day.
Anything can affect children negatively if you allow them to hole up in their rooms and play it for hours on end letting it rule their lives.
If you stop letting the TV be your babysitter you won't have the issues you have now.
Thanks for the reminder that i need to back up my saves before the update as I am tired of losing everything every time they have an update.
