Yeah just got a notice from XBL rewards program saying that all pending points have been deposited into my account and to look for their new site September 1st.
From the site
"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:
As you may already know, Microsoft Points are being retired and transactions on Xbox will soon take place using local currency (see the Xbox.com Points FAQ for more info). Because of this, Xbox Live Rewards has been undergoing a major overha...
Agreed, anything that you have to pay another subscription to should not be behind Microsoft's paid subscription.
I haven't played the game in a couple of months and was shocked I loaded the game a few days ago and there wasn't an update.
I enjoyed playing through the game but there were quite a few Achievement breaking bugs as well as regular game play bugs.
You guys are going to have a hard time getting me to support your product if you don't support your products.
Agreed.
I have both and it is.
Given Microsoft's history of most everything being behind a paywall I don't see why it should be any kind of controversy or a shock to anyone for that matter.
I also wish these writers would use phrases like "XBL could cost up to as much as $59.99 a year", "PSN+ could cost up to as much as $49.99 a year", those prices aren't set in stone, a smart consumer can always find a good deal, I've paid as little as $24.99 for XBL on Amazon and I bou...
Well TBH I haven't really been paying it too much attention as I'm not interested if Kinect is forced on us/me.
Only ONE controller now?
I was hoping he was going to un-box the Kinect-less version. :(
Watched them all, pretty impressive.
@kayoss
Agree, as I said I'm a member of both services and I see the difference for better or worse on both.
For example
Sony gave away 64 games in it's first year of PSN+ at a value over $1,000

And after six years of service (at $10.00 more a year I might add) Mi...
@ Mystogan
Did you not read the article?
This has also been stated before, several times.
"Sony’s Share feature for PlayStation 4 allows users to record and upload up to 15 minutes of footage and is not restricted to PlayStation Plus users."
Don't take my comment as any type of attack, just merely stating a fact, you're welcomed to point out where I'm wrong and Microsoft offers things that are not behind their pay wall th...
Of course, Most all of Microsoft's features are behind a pay wall, where Sony is not.
We can't really call this news can we? It's most always a given it will be this way.
Dwight Schultz does a ton of video game voice work and is most famously (TV wise) for playing Murdock on the A-Team and Lt. Barkley on Star Trek:TNG.
The man has done a ton of work, I'm sure he will do fine.
I've never heard of Gideon Emery either but IMDB shows him doing a ton of Voice acting for Video games as well.
Article #347 that Microsoft was wrong to listen to the consumer....
Uggh, Payday 2 comes out that day.
No Payday 2?
Really?
Who the Hell is Jesse Schell?
@BLKxSEPTEMBER
I am a current 360 with over 200 games bought (95% new) and 102340 in gamer score so I think I qualify for your survey.
I have no intention of buying a Xbox One with it's current build, I DO NOT WANT KINECT attached to my system.
I cannot support Microsoft's vision of Next Gen.
I have a PS4 and 8 games currently per-ordered.
My gamertag is under my profile, see for yourself.
One of the arguments I hear in favor of Kinect is that Devs will use Kinect because Microsoft is putting on in every box.
Right there you have a Dev saying he is not sold on the tech and will still use their current coding methods, I'm quite he is not the only Dev that feels this way.
Once again Microsoft is shooting themselves in the foot, When they first launched the 360 they released a version with no hard drive, for many MANY years this held Devs back...
yes.
From the article
" And with a rollout starting in late 2013, you’ll also be able to buy new Xbox Gift Cards (denominated in your local currency) through our online retailers and in local retail stores. These gift cards can be added to your Microsoft account online and are another easy-to-use payment option for customers."
They would be foolish not to, they would probably do even a paypal type of thing eventually.
