Let's face it. If there's one thing we've ALL learned this gen is that the casual gamer has more buying power than the hardcore gamer.
With the backing of say Apple. You get a machine with direct access to the apple app store. another way to download apps into your iphone, ipod, music, movies. Pretty much another alternative for those with crappy pc's, limited wifi, or crappy data plans.

seriously I would buy AC2 for 12 bucks on steam right now but I couldn't get SC:C and PoP working because of their DRM so i stay away from Ubisoft games.
a remake is SE's ace in the hole should the company face bankruptcy. They'd never play that card sooner.
every time a new ps3 game comes out. the fanboys are quick to try and compare it to crysis. They then somehow make themselves believe it's a great honor to be compared to crysis...
