Uncharted is going on its 3rd game in 4 years. On one console. They are at the same pace as Infinity Ward and Treyarch if that says anything.
Halo's third game spans two consoles.

as a pc gamer even I am surprised at the technical specs of the NGP. It's definitely among the first of its kind so it's well received by me.
But as anyone on the pc side knows. Real world tests speak for themselves. The only question I have is how draining a quad core processor would be at full load.
I imagine the 4-5 hour remark is under the best conditions possible and those conditions would be at idle near 0% processor use. What I'll be watchi...
I feel you there buddy. I remember my first few years of pc gaming. my very first pc was a celeron 700hz Hewlett Packard with a 3dfx Voodoo4 tossed in. I played on a 28.8k modem.
I didn't get a good pc till around 2007. but I must have put thousands of hours into mechwarrior 3, cs, dod, and bf2 EACH. I played these at a 800x600/1024x768 res on super low settings to the point where I was modifying configs. my fps was never above 20.

thats true. BF2 sniper guns were just as strong as bc2 guns. The difference and a major difference was. Snipers had no cover from jets, helo's, and commanders.

ya i still remember the developer presentations on Allan Wake. dx10 and one of the first to push quad core processors.

They are doing it to sell their own games. Not someone else's. There is no between the lines. This is all gabes doing. It's his vision. He wants to give ps3 a tiny taste of what they've been giving pc gamers for so long. Sony saw some money in it and are going along with it.
