"They should have at least copied Steel Battalion"
...
you do realize mechwarrior started off as a pen and paper game right? Even in our imaginations Mechs didn't move around at the speed of gundams.
in other news...
Mechwarrior was my first online love. To this day mechwarrior 3 is the title that had me camping out in front of my pc almost every weekend. WoW never even did that for me. UA/c5/no heat was where you found me.

I'm sorry but from what I've been reading about Australia. You probably won't even be able to access n4g by next year.
Feel bad for you guys
It's almost as if they're trying to win over the pc fans again for something....
It wouldn't be too far fetched to believe that battlefield 3 might just be a pc exclusive. the BF franchise was built on using the latest tech out. Hell 1.2 million bf2 copies sold in it's first month. That alone is enough to warrant it keeping it the way of old and not being limited by console hardware
Uhhhh your b1tchin about the content of this game?
how much did you pay for it again?
"car rollover - No most arcade games have this though, not most sims "
no eyebrows are raised when you read that?
car rollover's are either
A) Realistic
or
B) Unrealistic
One or the other. A "True" sim would include this would it not?
I apologize for comin off as a jacka$$ I kinda had the feeling you were mistaking it for heroes. If this wasn't n4g I would have known for sure it was a simple mistake.
lol
sorry
that was made of epic fail...
"I downloaded it for the PC. I personally think it sucks"
Wow that's not a blatant lie...
the pc version isn't even gonna be out for awhile. Hell there's not even alpha versions of it available for torrent...
This won't bother me now because Diablo 3 was always a must buy. But Diablo is a lan favorite. There are lots of pc gamers who would never care about Diablo but end up going to a lan party where diablo is title they'd end up playing. They'd probably like it a lot and end up buying it. Who knows...
Diablo and Starcraft were always two games on PC that people bought...It won't be hard for techies to emulate a battle.net and get around it. Much like how people emulate the rank serve...
uhhhh DICE was still its own company when 1942 came out. EA only published their game (Similar to how EA publishes Valve's games). EA didn't acquire DICE till much later.
Me and my friends never had a problem with 1942 we bought that day 1 and played the demo before it launched.
How nostalgic. Takes me back to the bf2 days...
"I doubt they would have been trying to make L4D1 content compatible with L4D2 until recently. "
I would put every cent I have on that statement. The boycott is nearing 40k and no company wants to risk almost $2 million. no matter how small an amount it may seem to most of you. That's just bad business.
One of the MAJOR concerns for the boycott is that l4d2 would split the community. Now what does this statement by Doug tell you?
"We want ...
The most powerful platform is one they are already familiar with. And it's not the ps3
I know you said console. But they don't limit themselves to JUST consoles. This is why I say platform
Come on people. Most of you are stuck on graphics more than anything else. With Bioware expect to play great games with them. Just don't expect any technological killers from them. You'll only disappoint yourselves.
Bioware makes great games not tech demos. IMO they are the saving grace of rpg's this gen. This is why Star Wars: The Old Republic is going to be an mmo unlike any other.
"It's just crazy how much gamers are being ripped off this gen."
If there's one message I want both sides of the console camps to understand. It would be this.
I'm just amazed that the majority of console gamers can be surprised by the boycotts and such. Simply for the fact that developers have been rippin them off for years. It's been programmed into console gamers to pay full price for what would be considered an expansion pack 4-5 years ago. Or 10-15 d...
"episodic games suck, look at Half-Life it takes years for the next episode to come out"
LoL it's not that something labeled an episode takes years to come out. It's just....
Well it's Valve we're talking about here. They aren't known for jacking up a lot of franchise titles in short periods.
well that's not technically true anymore though.
It's probably because dx11 being so close to dx10.1 technology. they can take advantage of the performance gains offered.
Take for example Assassins Creed which was released with 10.1 support. Well ATI were the only one's out with dx10.1 cards and what happened? ATI cards were demolishing Nvidia's cards in the performance benchmarks. Well when a game has a "NVIDIA! the way it's meant to be played" plastered on your screen at launch. That's bad for business.
Actually Ju just explained why it's just better to own a pc...
no dis, but I've seen the gameplay. It looks like bf 2. no joke. But bf2 was probably the last fun fps with tons of replay value, so you're prolly gonna get your money's worth.
I'm sure they wanted to but daddy said no.
