dog tags stem from BF2142 and have carried over in battlefield titles since then.
Though I don't think anyone is surprised. I mean they ripped off the ranking system, domination the unlock sytem, ingame stats, bfhq, end of round top players, BF modern combat was first on console and now dog tags all from Battlefield.
They ripped off Perks from wc3 mod, gungame, ...

@ alpha the concept of continuing the story after you played the campaign is fine and all but what may start off as a good thing usually ends up with meetings about how to hash up future games into dlc to make more money.

Get if you can get 450 hours out if a game it's easily justified. But from what I've seeing from the cod faithful here at work and my 9th grade brother and his friends that play cod religiously is that blackops is boring and they can't wait for bf3.
Only because they know they'll be crashin at my place for the weekend and enjoying bf3 in all it's glory as I keep my lan up to date for gaming.
I have blackops on my lan but their game of choice...

I'm buying the witcher arguments. I loved it great game. HOWEVER
they still havn't pegged the fighting system. However if CD Projekt Red feel the same way as me and quite a few others. There's no doubt in my mind Witcher 3 if it continues to evolve like it has. Will outdo Dragon Age 3.

Valve has earned every bit of where they're at. Ea is still just as greedy as activision. I'll never take origin seriously. Though if I have to install it to pay bf3 so be it.

Fun fact cs had about 120k players on steam yesterday. Blackops on 360 down to 300k.

I'm going to agree with this. I've also said before that this was sony's greatest mistake. There are many pc gamers that would have switched if the console supported mouse and keyboard. Alot of pc gamers don't upgrade often and would have welcomed a cheaper way to play with their pc brethren.
Just supporting a couple titles isn't enough to bring about major change
You know. Activision and kotick will be shittin bricks if bf3 comes within 2 million of cod. I don't believe battlefield can beat out cod this year as cod's downward spiral has just begun.
However. Should battlefield come within a couple million. That will signify the end of cod. and I believe that is whats goin to happen.
