Sucks to be the ps3 players that are going be lvl 1 while us pc gamers are probably maxed out. I still remember how the japanese would do us dirty at NA ffxi launch. Running around naked and beating down all the mobs we were xp'ing off of simply because they didn't like us.
Took awhile for them to warmup to us but we had a few of them join us in vent regularly. good times.
Now I get to return the favor to the ps3 community.

I could see a good <5% of starcraft fans actually caring about 3d...I'm probably being generous there.
they're busy focusing on newer tech like eyefinity and dx11 then pushing physx and 3d (which has been around forever on the pc)

even while 3d has been around forever on the pc. Nvidia all of a sudden starts licensing a "Nvidia 3d Vision Ready" sticker on the top left side of my monitor -_-
really hoping the console gamers get their fill of fps games this gen. Real fps gamers have been sitting patiently for years waiting for these kids with short attention spans, inability to manage hp, and apparent love for paying for a couple of maps to move on.
Only then can FPS games minus CoD finally break free of the generic mediocrity that caters to these gamers and we can then go back to where it used to be...See TF2. That was where it used to be. Valve has never forgot...

On steam you can burn the folder of your game to a disc :)

I've downloaded a couple of 15gb+ games already over steam. The great thing about pc gaming is you won't RROD or YLOD by leaving it on overnight. Or if you're like me...Months at a time.

Next-gen will be won by whomever brings the full steam service to their console. I'm really not trolling when I say this but gaming wise, physical media is ancient tech. This means M$ is seriously going to have to swallow their pride and start supporting free DLC if they even want a chance.
Sony knows if 3ds is successful people will begin to EXPECT glasses free 3d.
Not good for the kind of 3d Sony is going after. They're only stance has to be this. The only 3d I want is glasses free 3d. I own a 3d pc monitor. But I use it for the 120fps it gives me and that's it.
All this really does is shut down the argument that ps3 sales in Japan offset the loss for NPD.

500k copies sold at $10 is $5 million in pure profit. Considering the pennies it would cost them in bandwidth for the download. Keep in mind L4D prolly sold a couple million on steam for a lot more than $10
It's not stopping ps3 users from paying for a service that's pretty much just steam...
Except steam's discounts are untouchable and you don't have to pay for them.

TBH it was Crysis that cured my graphics iz best syndrome. After that I knew nothing would ever come close to it which led me to be more open when playing new games.
It's been that way for a few years now.
Meaning a real 3d blu Ray player. Ps3 will be considered low end when your comparing them with 1.4 HD blurAy players. Meaning these glasses won't work with ps3s
