Unfortunately, this is how pathetic people can get these days.
Unfortunately, turning off the power switch when the PS3 is not in use (for long or short periods) does not ward off the YLOD. I live in a state where electricity is at a very high price and whenever I stop using the PS3, I always turn off the power switch in the back. However, I still go the YLOD right after my warranty period.
And yes, trying to fix the YLOD with a heatgun is only a temp fix as well. However, what else option you got besides spending $150 sending it in to ...
I believe they said that it's about the same size. It's definitely no expansion game that's for sure.
*sigh*....
another big portion of my life will be drained away by this video game....
OUCH!!! But you know what, I love reading negative reviews of crappy games. Dunno what is it but it's just hilarious sometimes!
3.15????? Are you serious? There are actually people out there who are still on 3.15 because they don't want to lose the OtherOS function? They can't play online on PSN because of keeping the feature alive? Why is it so important that you be able to install Linux on your PS3? I understand why pirates want to keep it at 3.41 so that they are able to jailbreak it but the OtherOS feature?!?! Seriously?!?!?!
Or are you talking about something completely different?
My 60GB PS3 had the YLOD error as well. I thought I had it fixed with the tutorial by Gilksy but shorty after, the yellow light came on again. It sucks so bad....I'll try an repair it one more time and if it breaks again, I'm bringing out the sledge hammer.
Ahhh....so they are going with the Wii tactic eh...
LMAO...This is such a pathetic attempt. We are almost 4 years into the Playstation 3's life span and they come up with this article? No doubt, I'm sure they had written similar articles in the past but come on. 4 freaking years in........
I don't even care if the article ultimately says that YES, you should buy a PS3. The article alone is enough to call these bunch of morons running the site out as a pathetic attempt to gain hits.
My thoughts exactly. It's pathetic. I'm glad that they are excited about giving gamers DLC to extend the game even further but how about you freaking release the damn game and see the gamers reaction first? Talking about a DLC before a game is released just makes many people to believe that they could have just incorporated it into the full game rather than as a separate purchase or download.
Ninja Theory is beginning to irritate me. This didn't happen with Heaven...
Looks like a hack and slash game....
"So you have three different people working on a single performance, which I don't think is the right way to do it if you want to create a believable character," Antoniades explained.
Well, that's their opinion. Just like with everyone else, they are entitled to it. However, I disagree with the quote. Drake was one of the few characters that I actually enjoyed watching and listening to in a video game. He was very much "believable". Enslaved on the...
I don't have anything against extremists pushing their PC hardware to the limits. It just seems pointless to me because as a gamer, I buy hardware to play games. Right now, the majority of the games I want to play are on consoles.
Not saying the hacker is right but it is bullcrap that my PS3 gave me the YLOD when I hardly even use the machine. I'm not a hardcore gamer. I would use it to watch a blu-ray movie here and there and whenever I do play games, I would never play for more than 1 hour per session, 2 at most. It's ridiculous. The weird thing is, I got the YLOD right after the warranty expired.
My 60GB PS3 have never shut down on it's own due to "overheating", unless you'...
There are people who purchase an additional Xbox 360 to either dedicate it for playing online games purchased through legitimate means and another 360 to only play downloaded games. If you think about it, a PS3 only costs $300. A pirate would only have to pirate 5 games and he would have covered back the initial cost of the system. All games he/she steals from then on is all profit in his eyes. If Sony thinks that they can simply issue a small firmware update to patch up this fix, they would ...
Do you really think people give a S*** about how the PS3 gets hacked/exploited or whatever? I'm pretty sure the pirates don't. The only people arguing about how the PS3 wasn't *hacked* and how the USB stick contains stolen USB codes are people on N4G.
The thing is, they found a way to actually play games from the hard drive without the disc. That's all that matters to the pirates. They don't care if the method used came from Satan himself or from a Sony i...
They want to charge a monthly fee *in addition* to telling us how long we can play the game for? WOW....
This game is definitely worth getting now that it's $20. For $60, heck no. While the game was pretty forgettable upon completion, it still gives you a couple of good hours as a action game. Yes, action, not stealth.
HAHAHA good one!!
Metal of Honor got penalized for it being short. Did the same happen for the COD series??? Metal of Honor got penalized for the weak storyline. Did the same happen to the crap that got spewed out of the COD series?
But anyways, a lot of these modern warfare (no pun intended) shooters seems to rely heavily on the MP aspect of it. It would be great if the SP campaign also kicked some butt but it feels as if MP will always take center stage for these types of shooters.
