Call of Duty: MW3 is a beast at retail just as it has been for the last 4 years.
It is the biggest game on the PS3 as well as the 360.

The sales decline was industy wide other than the 360 hardware, but if the game is stillcharting number one on NPD and in the top 10 worldwide then again it's FAR from dying.

The 360, PS3, and the Wii are CONSOLES
The 3DS and Vita are HANDHELDS. Vita will launch this month but the 3DS has already sold 4.25 million in the US thus far.
Handhelds and Consoles are not competing..never have and never will.

The first quarter or so will resemble last year where the momentum of the holiday may keep the numbers similiar, but to predict YOY increase for the first 6 months would be tough.
E3 is the most important factor for what will transpire.
