Went to Best buy with my girl .... waited on line to try kinnect and we both had a blast.
tried to buy it afterwards but it was sold out ... went to 6 other stores and all sold out. WTF?!
granted it will probably start collecting dust like my Wii does now ... but it looks like fun, to control the dashboard using voice and motion looks cool, and i'm keeping the faith that great games are on the horizon.

I thought there would be more Wii titles ... like Metroid and Super Mario ... showing that FPS's and Platformers can be done with motion controls too.

But as far as gaming consoles, it's always been like the de facto to be able to put a game in and play. That's always been one of the advantages of console over PC.

PS3 gets a chunk of it's sales, not from gamers but from people that want a great blu-ray player. And since blu-ray will be around for at least another 10 years ..... it's...

Congrats to Sony fir making such a great hack-proof console this gen.
But if it's true that PS3 can be hacked ...again, then I think they should follow MS and find a way check online who hacked their console and ban that specific console for life.
I see Wii2 and Xbox720 releasing fall 2012. I really hope I'm right. Even though Fall 2011 would be even better, but not likely.
And if Playstation doesn't release their next console alongside Nintendo and Xbox and waits another year, like 2013, I think they will struggle to catch up like this gen.
If anything I'm hoping the next Playstation releases like 2014 .... that way the differences will probably be huge in games being released. Not like this gen ...
Me and my girl went to best buy, tried out Kinnect, and we both loved it.
Yeah, it's gimmicky ... but it's fun. And I was really impressed how it does catch you in 3D. I mean, I did a straight forward kick and my little guy did the same.

Must be aggravating to be one of those PS3 owners that always brag about superior graphics, but then see the PS3 consistently looking inferior on multiplats.
I own a 360, and I think the PS3 is the better gaming console hardware wise with some great exclusives, blu-ray, and free online.
But I stick with the 360 for two reasons:
1. My favorite franchises: Gears and Halo ... both are co-op with the most addicting online multiplayer.
2. All my friends have the 360.
I'd say anyone looking to buy a new console should consider what their friends have cause playing online with friend...
I'm getting my 14 yr old kid Kinnect for Christmas, even though he wants the GT5 PS3 bundle.
So what your saying is MS should have done another Wii-clone as Sony did?
C'mon kid ... hate all you want but Kinect at least is something different and moving motion controls forward.
And to compare the eyetoy to Kinect is just plain stupid, comparing the eyetoy to the 360 vision cam makes more sense.

3. CONSPIRACY THEORIES! MS paid off Activision to make the ps3 inferior to the 360 just as it has been proved with every other multiplat game that runs better on the 360 ... same as it has been proven that anything 360 related that gets a good review, it's cause MS paid for it.
