Sony should release an arcade unit at a cheap price, and let people upgrade when they have the money.
i think the ps3 would sell tons if they did that.
especially during xmas time... parents see ps3 at almost double the price and they are just gonna go with the 360.

In the end when all is said and done .... people will look back at the reviews and metacritic scores of both Forza 3 and GT5. And regardless of opinion ... I know for a FACT, the sonykids on this site are gonna stay butthurt knowing Forza 3 will be looked at as thr better and true AAA game cause it scored higher than GT5 .....
I always thought the PS3 would sell like hot cakes to once it dropped down to $199 ... not only because of the HD games but for blu-ray.
But I think there are 3 factors that will definitely hold back the PS3 to reaching those PS2-1 lifetimes sale numbers.
1. I've been seeing some really good blu-ray players sub 100 bucks. (and let's be honest many, if not millions, bought their PS3 for blu-ray.
2. Xbox 360 dropping their price when PS3 drops theirs....

It's more then obvious by now it's not "vastly superior."
PS3 - supposedly better CPU and blu-ray (which isn't necessary to make a great game)
360 - better GPU and unified Memory.
Now if you said that original Xbox was vastly superior to the PS2, then that would be a fact.

It happens ... a game fails to live up to the hype.... happen with Gt for the PSP also (horrible game that looked nothing like the previews)
around here the only ones to blame are all the N4G kiddies praising this game as the second coming of Christ.
oh and btw ... Forza 3 is still the definitive racer of this gen!! lol

If IGN would have given it a 10 then there wouldn't be no crying. Simple as that.
Some people just have to accept that although GT5 is a phenomenal game, it's still rated 85 on metacritic. So there are tons of reviewers out there that also game it an average score.
IGN is probably the most respected gaming site there is.
They always get early copies of games and post fair reviews.
